Love to visit these ruins and bring people here for first visit. Ruins are large and easily viewable and walkable. DEFINITELY walk down to the "Blow Holes, a small (12"l hole to a giant cavern under the ground and based on the outside atmospheric pressure air is either flowing INTO or OUT OF the "Blow Hole" providing you with a cool breeze. Neat!!

The center has air conditioning but no wifi or cell reception, this is a dead zone. The "ATB" pass is accepted so bring a senior with ID along for free entry. It's also a little museum and gift shop. Proper clean bathrooms are on the outside of the building and a drinking water fountain is also available. You are provided with a guide book with numbers for site reference. The visit to the site is not long, no need to bring water bottles or food, it's like a maximum 30 min trip that is if you a tally read and reference the guide book. Wear a hot, you will be in full sun and it get hot. Make sure to visit the blow hole, it's a crack in the ground that pushes natural cool air out, don't miss it!

Excellent informational and educational area in the Visitor Center. A variety of trails from easily accessible to strenuous to choose from. Very interesting and worth the trip. Be sure to travel south on Loop Road to Sunset Crater Volcano. It is equally interesting.

Amazing experience! It's worth the drive and the $2 information booklet. We spent almost 4 hours just looking and imagining the history that has taken place here. It's cool to see the different stages of preservation that modern humans have attempted, and I'm glad that Wupatki is now in a place where it's protected. And I've never seen anything like the blowhole, which is so wild that I would make the trip just to look at that.

This place is amazing. So interesting to learn about the ancient inhabitants of the painted desert. The only thing about going here is this: when you go to the visitor center to view the ruins, please buy a trail guide for $2.00 They didn't tell us about it and I had to walk quite a ways back to the visitors center to pick one up. It is essential to understand exactly what you are looking at. Other than that, this place is awesome.

Even though a good percentage of the exhibit was off limits for safety concerns I had an enjoyable time photographing the difference Pueblos and experiencing the vibes from the area.

What a beautiful and vast National Park site this was! It is located in and adjacent to the National Forest which is in all directions. The landscape of this area is so varied you'll see tons of plant life and animals.
The Visitor center itself was large and the folks working were pleasant and helpful.
There are quite a few trails and ruins spread out across the landscape. We really enjoyed the easy trails to the ruins. The Jr Ranger book was fairly easy for our little ones; Which they appreciate.
