Our daughter had a great experience with the DC school trip! Everything ran smoothly and they saw so much more than we could ever do ourselves in 3-4 days.

My child participated in a WorldStrides DC School Trip with me as a chaperone just last week. Our WorldStrides guide was Marshall Siegel. Marshall was an extraordinary teacher and tour guide. I was constantly in awe of his ability to capture the attention of our group of 13/14 year olds. His ability to tell a story was absolute magic. Not only did our kids learn so much over the four days we spent together, but I personally gained so much from the experience. If I were to plan another DC trip, there is no doubt I would use WorldStrides and I would make a special request for Marshall Siegel as he was instrumental in the impact of our experience in Washington, DC.

We did an 8th grade class trip to Washington DC with Worldstrides, the online fund raising was simple to help pay for the trip in advance and having the option to pay in full or pay over a set period of time was nice. The majority of the trip was well organized, meal stops were good, if a bit crowded with our group of about 100. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the DC area, our hotel was clean and the night guards were great to make sure kids stayed in their rooms as expected at night. Plan to have an incredibly packed schedule but you will get to see a lot on your trip!

All in all it was a good trip. It was an extremely packed schedule. I feel like there was a little too much to take it all in appropriately and really appreciate it. Our tour guide was awesome. I do wish he would have came in and showed us around, given us a tour, though. The food was hit and miss. For the price of the trip, I don't think we should have to be spending our own money on drinks all day. 39 miles of walking in 4 days to see as much as possible, we get thirsty, and that can add up. The kids and adults didn't really have time to decompress and unpack the day by the time we would get back at 9:30/10:00 p.m. each night. Definitely got to see a lot of D.C. and it's surrounding areas, but would like things to be a little different if I were to do it again.

Our middle school just got back from a trip to Washington DC. WorldStrides did a fantastic job creating an itinerary where our students could see as much as possible while having an amazing time! Students were active learners due to the great structure provided by our tour guides. Here are some pictures from our trip including an impromptu case our students presented outside of the Supreme Court. I highly recommend WorldStrides!

My 8th grade daughter's school offered a DC trip with Worldstrides over Thanksgiving break. It felt very overpriced for what was essentially free visits to sights. I especially didn't agree with having to pay up front for the trip even though she was on the waitlist for several months before we knew if she would be able to attend. Her comments include: the vouchers for food were not enough to feed us each meal leaving us hungry and spending our own money on junk food. The schedule especially the first day was too long without enough breaks for fun. They were disappointed they didn't get a closer look at the White House. Overall, she was expecting more "fun" and less intense educational/listening/learning and shorter days with more "down time" as it was over a school break. Setting expectations that it is an educational trip and not a vacation is important as I don't think we prepared her.

Our daughter had a very positive experience on her DC trip.
The trip was organized by her school and facilitated through WorldStrides. No problems flight ,guide, bus, hotel and all the sight seeing was well coordinated. She had great time and came back with many memories that will last a lifetime.

Terrible company to work with. Our trip coordinator from world strides told us wrong information compared to customer service. She wouldn’t return any of my calls, emails. I pulled my kid from the trip, it’s not worth the stress.

Update to today 10/18/24

I had talked to the trip coordinator eventually on the phone. She told me she would take care of everything personally and make it right and get me a full refund. Time goes by (around 2 months) and nothing, I start reaching out again to the trip coordinator and she’s not answering calls, returning voicemails, texts, emails, nothing. She actually read one of my texts (bc it said read) and never responded. Finally called the 1800 number TODAY and the lady my refund was still in process, she will get it approved for an instant refund and call me back personally within 24-48 hours. we shall see.
