Epic & scenic ferry service to Martha's Vineyard!
We took this ferry service from Woods hole as it was the shortest route even if we were staying in Hyannis.
It turned out to be a good idea, as the service were very good and efficient even in the middle of summer when it was starting to be a bit crowded.
Overall very nice service, everything expected was ok, i,e, the bus to the terminal, the toilet on board, etc.
The best part was obviously the incredible views from the boat.
I would highly recommend this trip to anyone!

This is a very busy, bustling terminal to and from Martha's Vineyard. It felt like I was boarding a plane almost. It's definitely the biggest ferry I have ridden to date but also the smoothest fairy ride I have even taken. There it very little to no boat sway. At one point, I didn't even know we were moving. There are also very nice views and sights to see during this 45-minute trip. It was a beautiful day. There are many seats, booths, and areas to sit at. There are restrooms available as well.

Love how one can easily park at the Steamship Authority parking, step onto a shuttle bus that takes you to the ferry in 10 minutes, order your ferry tickets online from your phone while on the bus, and then walk a short distance from the bus to the ferry. Upon return, you step off the ferry and onto the waiting shuttle bus, which takes you right back to the parking lot and a short walk to your parked car

Even though it's under construction this is a great place! The buses bring you from the parking lot to the ticket office in plenty of time to catch the ferry. They make it a short walk. The agents and all the staff are very friendly and helpful, greeting you onto the ferry. No bumps or rough landings. This is a great company, give them a try!!

Shopping stores are nearby and Steamship provides free bus for transport ferry passengers between Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyards and other islands. Round trip costs $18 pp.

This is my first time on a ferry, and it was so much fun. It was quick and easy to park at the satellite, lot and shuttled to the dock. I chose to sit up on top instead of the air-conditioned section. It’s a beautiful trip to Martha’s Vineyard and part of the charm. Once you get to MarthasVineyard go to a spot where you can see the cars coming out. It is unbelievable how many cars they carry on this ferry!

Parked car and shuttle took us to the ferry terminal. There was no queue to buy tickets, then ushered straight to the ferry.
Crossing took approx 45 minutes.
Weather was rainy and water, choppy. However, crossing was very smooth
