It is a lovely peaceful place. Walking path was perfect for my elderly dog. We enjoyed looking at everyone's painted rocks on the path. Plenty of picnic spots and benches throughout the park. I highly recommend.

Went early morning and enjoyed the walking trail around the lake. There was a bench in the shade of the trees that overlooked the water. Playground, picnic shelters and bathrooms in close proximity. Trail is lined with many cool painted rocks.

We enjoyed the day here with family. My son didn’t catch anything but still had fun trying. We saw an Eagle Which was super exciting. The trails are also very nice and a lot of people were walking their dogs. Restrooms are well kept.

Nice small reservoir, seems popular for fishing off the pier. Great shaded parking if you go back to the end of the first entrance to the park. Easy access to the pier and boat ramp.
However, the lake is full of seaweed so Kayaking is a bit difficult. You have to go out to a clearer section to paddle around or you'll get all wrapped up in the stuff. It moves around like islands in the wind.
Great place for walking your dog(s) around the perimeter path and meet friendly people. Lots of hand-painted colored rocks that line the path.

Went off trail, followed a deer path to their watering hole and listened to the sound of insects, frogs and the wind whispering through the Cattails by the water. Very relaxing and peaceful. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a more mellow adventure.

We spent nearly 5 hrs here in early October, and were drawn in mostly by the great people we met, with kids that were so willing to instantly play together. And we weren’t going to take the full walk around the lake, but started looking at the great painted rocks lining the walkway, and never stopped until we walked around (1.1 miles).

We are going to come back here, because of the gorgeous location, but mostly because of the people.
