So good that I forgot to take pictures of my pizza. Honestly, I wanted to try everything off the menu. We started off with meatballs which normally I wouldn’t go for—but this went quick. We got the pepperonly pizza to play it safe but couldn’t help eyeing everyone else’s pizza as they passed by. Non the less the food was great. Our server was so kind – was there when we needed her but also gave us space to enjoy our dinner. The tables are a bit small but it does make for a warm atmosphere. We actually had conversations with the people sitting near by about their food. Overall great experience that was well worth the drive. Can’t wait to come back.

I had an outstanding experience at this restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the modern yet approachable vibe set the tone for a delightful evening. The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring about our dining experience.

One of the little details that truly made an impression was the unique design of the bathrooms, each adorned with different, artful wallpapers that added a playful touch. It’s clear that every corner of the restaurant was thoughtfully curated.

I also loved the open kitchen concept. Watching the chefs work with such passion and care was a treat and added an element of transparency to the dining experience. It’s evident that they care deeply about the quality of their ingredients—they steer clear of seed oils and artificial sweeteners, which made me feel even more confident about the food I was enjoying.

Overall, the restaurant managed to create a fancy, upscale atmosphere without being overpriced. It’s a rare find that balances high-end details with genuine care for healthy, quality ingredients. I’ll definitely be returning for another memorable meal!

This place is absolutely amazing! Excellent service our server was very knowledgeable and the Manager Trevor was very welcoming.
So many great options our favorites were the goat cheese arancini, buzzkill, wild mushroom orecchiette and every pizza place salad. Parmesan cheese on an espresso martini was also amazing (sounds weird I know but it's a must try). We will be returning soon this place is a gem!

Just had an outstanding experience at Wooden Paddle Lagrange! The service was top-notch, the ambiance was relaxed and cool, making it the perfect spot to enjoy great food. The apps, salads, and pizza were nothing short of perfect – fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Bri and Jonathan have gone above and beyond to ensure a memorable visit. This cozy little wood fired pizza place is nestled on the corner of Stephen and McCarthy and is full of delicious food and drinks to rave about. Service is quick and we’ve never had a bad experience since they’ve opened. #supportlocal

Nate was our host for the evening and what a great experience we had. 7 people at one table, orders coming in swiftly, everything was so tasty and amazing.
Signature drinks were great, nice touch on the Espresso Martini!

Great spot in Lemont, but very much worth even the detour! Highly recommend! And ask for Nate, amazing host!

Wooden Paddle for the win! I have a pretty serious dairy allergy (weird that I chose to come to a pizza place, I know), but I saw that they had a cashew dairy free ricotta option. I figured it would be worth a try! Since developing my allergy, I haven’t been able to indulge in a pizza that tastes anywhere similar to a “real pizza”, but let me tell you that Wooden Paddle served me the best dairy free pizza I have ever had. It seriously almost brought tears to my eyes, lol! My choice was the pepperoni pizza and I felt like the dairy free ricotta really complimented it well. It is not often that you find a place that has owners so invested in the quality of their products. I was immediately sold when they said there was no seed oils, they only sell organic sodas, and their food is quality. I’m so excited to come back.

We have been going to Wooden Paddle for years in Lemont and were looking forward to our dinner tonight. What an experience!

Same great flavors they have been serving up for years, but now in a beautiful downtown location. What a great addition to the downtown Lagrange restaurant scene!

The crafted cocktail menu offered everything. You will not be disappointed!
We started with the Every Pizza place salad and the mushroom stacks. Elevated flavors and fried goodness.
The Mr. Beef pizza was braised rib and giardinara. So good!
We had to finish with dessert. I highly recommend the poet-gooey butter cake.
Everything came out fast and fresh.
A great night out minutes from our house.
No need to go downtown!
