Marc and Darlynne are the best. They own Where You Want to Be Tours (and Out of The Ordinary Group and Team Adventures) and they know everything about San Diego. They took me hiking across the hidden bridges of San Diego. It was a great time with fun and adventurous people. This was adventure #44 of my 57 Adventures in 57 Hours in San Diego.

I was the co-leader of a group of 14 students from Pomona College that came to San Diego over Spring break to do community engagement work. We had a great time on the Urban Challenge Scavenger hunt and it also certainly brought us closer together as a group on our first day in the city. The guides Mark and Darlynne knew so many great spots in downtown; we really didn't know how much existed there before this scavenger hunt. They were also very accommodating in terms of price with us as a group doing non-profit work, which was much appreciated. I would recommend Where You Want to Be Tours to any group in San Diego that wants to get in touch with the city adventurously!

I went on the downtown San Diego scavenger hunt for my 28th birthday with 13 of my friends and we all had a total blast! The tour guides were AWESOME and so full of energy and excitement. Every team had a tour guide accompany them which was great because they kept track of the pens, the clues, the maps and they even took the team pictures for us as we raced around town. I live in SD but I was taken to multiple locations I had never visited before and that made me fall in love with San Diego that much more. The race lasted a little over 2 hours with an awards ceremony at the end. Everyone I was with had a great time. I would definitely recommend this company and do this again in a heartbeat!

If you're looking for a different sort of outing, something new and exciting, or an adventure to make new memories with loved ones, 'Where You Want To Be Tours' is the place for you! I wanted a gift for my family that would be a unique experience and I found the adventure I was looking at 'Where You Want To Be Tours'. Marc and Darlynne were amazing and showed us a side of Balboa Park in San Diego that we had never seen. Interspersed with their tour was historical information about the area that many people don't know. They customized our adventure for the level 'fitness' for our family, and when our group dynamic changed, they were able to increase the difficulty level of the tour to fit our needs. Their customer service is outstanding! They discussed the length and difficulty of the terrain, letting us know exactly what to expect. I really felt like they enjoy what they do and it comes through in the experience of the tour. Thank you so much Marc and Darlynne.

Recently I planned a team building scavenger hunt for my colleagues and we all thought that the event was the perfect getaway from the office. Both Darlynne and Marc made the planning very easy by answering all my questions and providing all necessary information to make the event a success. They were also fantastic facilitators during the hunt. I loved how that they designed the scavenger hunt to be without electronics which encouraged interaction within the teams. Also, the scavenger hunt was the right balance of challenge and fun. I highly recommend Where You Wan To Be Tours because they were very professional and personable. They also added a special touch by taking photographs throughout the event and also creating a special video. A fantastic experience altogether. I am already looking forward to work with them again.

We discovered hidden gems at the The Balboa Park Urban Challenge Scavenger Hunt. It was so much fun to walk around Balboa with my husband and other couples from church for our "Valentine's Day Themed" adventure. Normally, when I have family in town, I'm their tour guide but I don't every know where to take them besides the beach or restaurants, but next time I'm for sure taking them one of these scavenger hunts! This was my husband's and my second time working with Where You Want To Be Tours. What are you waiting for? Get outside, have fun, and get your fitness on with walking around Balboa!

Our K-12 school did an amazing urban scavenger hunt in La Jolla. We had 80 teachers and staff participate in a staff appreciation team building event. Everyone had rave reviews about this unique experience and really enjoyed the event. This is our second time using the company and I cannot say enough good things about each adventure. I would highly recommend them and can't wait until our next special event.

I'm a native San Diegan and have to say these scavenger hunts uncover some of the coolest 'secret spots' of the destination, while being deliriously fun as well.

I've done their scavenger several times with both friends and clients and they never fail to entertain the entire crowd. We're always talking about it for days and days afterwards. The favorite amongst my friends is the Gaslamp Quarter scavenger hunt. I probably experience more during that tour than I do in several weekends in downtown combined.

The owners - Marc and Darlynne - know more about San Diego than anyone else I know. And, it shows. They infuse fun in every clue and interaction.

I couldn't rave about this tour company enough!
