This was a large beautiful state park with huge grounds and an abundance of wildlife. It started snowing while I was there and it was interesting to see the animals acclimate. There are nice walking paths and lots of surrounding water. The restrooms were clean and they have a visitor center with restaurant. Wonderful place to enjoy nature.

There was a small is island in the park on the Holstein River with a 0.5m path around it, that is accessible by bridge. The park is also known for a state of the art playground, a golf course, and mountain biking

Took a nice hike, bit more strenuous that I thought it would be, but the view was worth it. Devils backbone trail, ended up parking on a golf cart path by accident. Would be nice to see parking signs!

We take the puppers on the weekends. It's a lovely stroll around the lake/pond. The dogs like to play in the water where they can run off leash.

We camped here for 5 days in June 2023. The campground is nice but tight for bigger rigs. We have a 37 ft camper and there are few sites that will accommodate that size rig. There is a boat ramp to put in small boats and kayaks which is nice. There was not a lot of privacy, the sites are pretty close together. We had no problems with the water or power. (50amp) The lake was very calm while we were there and an easy paddle. We saw many birds and even a few deer down by the lake. The pool was not open while we were here. The bathhouse was clean, but very institutional feeling. (Metal toilet, small sink, concrete 4 ft divider between bathroom area and shower area. The bathhouse in our area was composed of 4 lockable sections each having toilet, sink and shower.)

This campground has easy access from I-81, as long as a 14’3” overpass is not an issue. The roadway through the CG is paved, with gravel sites that needed only minimal adjustment for leveling. Our quick overnight stay (#39) didn’t give much time for exploring, but overall the park was clean and well maintained.

Grand daughter purchased a bucket of balls at the golf course. The playground is large. Nice place to get your steps in. Clean campground. Pond with paddle boats.
Great golf course. Pavillions and building are available for rent.
