We came here to visit while we were in Arkansas. We decided to come for a few hours, but the only window we had was during a very severe thunderstorm. Once the lightning had passed, the rain had stayed, but we still got out and explored a little bit. We came here to visit and we were so happy we did! Tried a few fishing spots and didn’t catch anything.

Absolutely beautiful!. Tons of Cypress groves. Tons of tall grass filled with birds. Huge lily pad island in the middle of the lake. Wonderful place to go exploring with a kayak.

Beautiful cypress swamp. The roads are well maintained, so access is good. I bet kayaking here would be awesome.

Great place to enjoy the scenery. If your like me and like to photo and just sit. Bring a chair. Many many dragon flies. Also large deer near the mound and cemetery. Worth the short walk.

Very nice place to go Kayaking. You just lay back in the kayak and listen to nature. The woodpeckers and owls were sounding great. Don't let the large fish scare you when you go over then in the kayak. Had three I disturb and both them and I jump, believe they where catfish lying on the bottom. The water was not deep.

Absolutely beautiful!!! You have to drive to a location and wait though if you want to see wildlife beyond turtles there. Driving on the gravel road is noisy and scares everything away. I also noticed places to fish. Just be mindful of the still water in places. The mosquitos there are ruthless!!! You won't be disappointed with a good zoom lens and some patience.
