Wachusett offers a ton of great hiking trails. We go there pretty often as its nearby and has a lot of options, most of which are suitable for the whole family (kids are 11, 9 & 4).

We have hiked here multiple times during the day and loved it ! Easy to medium hikes, with good views.

This park has also been our to-go to catch dark skies, especially for Aurora Borealis sighting.

The trails were clear, not too hard, it gets icy in the winter so all the rock steps become slides. The summit had a watchtower, couple of benches and a great view. For the general public, 4/5. But in my own opinion it’s a 3/5. The visuals and the hike itself leaves you desiring more, as someone who hiked Washignton and Monadnock, this was underwhelming. But not a waste of time. Still had a good time hiking the small trail from the visitor center in the winter.

Great hike to the top. Moderate.with different trails to choose from. A little icy today, but well worth it. Spectacular 360 view of three states.

Nice hike on a beautiful early fall Sunday. Quite a few hikers out there. Parking at the visitor center is limited. However, there is plenty of parking in the other parking lots down Mountain Rd.
The Old Indian Trail to the summit was pretty muddy, but manageable. The view from the summit is well worth the hike up there (it is also possible to drive up there, but hey, what's the fun in that?)

We took a shorter but steeper pine hill trail going up and old Indian trail coming down. Total 2.3 miles and under 2 hours and loved the hike. There is some gold fish for kids on top 🐠🐟

First time coming here, it was a really nice hike, the view from the top was beautiful, bring some type of bug spray hiking up.
