The visitor center has clean bathrooms, water fountains, and friendly staff. It houses a shop with a nice combination of souvenirs and useful items. There is a bird observation room and outdoor patio. The educational section includes plenty of geological, biological, and historical information. You can access the starts of two trails from this location.

Will Apple trail was nice and easy. Buckman's pool is interesting and a must see, easy hike. Many other trails to see as well. Over 2,000 ft above sea level!

They had everything a visitor center should have but for some stupid reason I expected them to have marshmallows! I was very disappointed when they did not. I know it's unreasonable but thats the way I felt. Other than that the place was clean and fully stocked (even for a holiday weekend). The employees were a little slow but very friendly and helpful. The slowness may have been the systems they were forced to use. (or it could have been my sour mood after realizing I wasn't going to get roasted marshmallows! Lol)
