This year due to a whole bunch of circumstances our family had to choose to dine out for our Thanksgiving gathering. What a wonderful meal we had. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was festive too! Although I don't plan to do this yearly, if we need to again, I would not hesitate to make our reservations here!!!

The Venus de Milo in Swansea, MA, has reopened its banquet and to-go facility, and it’s better than ever! They’ve truly elevated the experience, combining their legendary service with stunning renovations that make every visit unforgettable.

I recently attended their New Year’s Eve party, and it was beyond incredible. The venue was decorated to absolute perfection, making me feel like I was at a 5-star hotel celebration. The band was exceptional and created such a vibrant atmospherepeople were even dancing during parts of the dinner service!

Speaking of dinner, the food was absolutely something to sit down for. The buffet was stocked with a wide array of delicious options, all beautifully prepared and of the highest quality. The value for the price of the ticket was unbelievable , as you get so much for what you pay, from amazing food to the festive NYE hats they provided.

If you’re looking for a venue that knows how to throw a spectacular event or provide top-notch to-go options, Venus de Milo is the place to go. Their reopening has brought new energy to an already iconic establishment, and I can’t wait to return for more events and meals!

Just brought my daughter here for a Taylor Swift brunch event and I hadn’t been there in years! It’s very clean and the event was so fun! Glad they’re opened back up.

For my 70th birthday I was given a gift certificate. When I went on line called the number 5 times never answered. By the way it was Thursday 9th said you were open. So my wife drove there a there was no way to access the building. Other people in the parking lot were just a frustratermy daughter had to email text. Ann found you can only order online. And the do not expect the certificate on. You have to bring it with you when you pickup the order on a Thursday Friday or Saturday. All this nonsense for a baked stuff lobster. Last time you see me brag about the Venus. Someone better update the wed page an answer the damn phone. .

Booked Thanksgiving dinner for My Dad & myself. Was charged $111.00 w/gratuity ahead of time. We were never so disappointed was not told it was a buffet & had to serve ourselves. Dad is disabled has trouble walking. I don't feel we should be charged a gratuity for no service 1st if all. The food was so disappointing, watery cranberry sauce. Fake mashed potatoes. Dark brown gravy not turkey gravy. Bland tasting stuffing. Salty ham no glaze. No Famous Venus Minestrone Soup offered only bland chicken soup, in which the kid was only serving a half of a cup! No warm rolls, served w/ hard butter. None of it looked appetizing. Served only water no ice or lemon, had to beg for ice water. Dirty plates lates not removed from table. I have volunteered in soup kitchens that served much better tasting food w/ better presentation than what we experienced. It appeared to have been catered in. Never Again will I return and don't recommend it to anyone. The Thanksgiving sandwich from D'ANGELO'S would have been a better choice. Venus you should have remained closed. No comparison to the Venus De Milo that I have frequently enjoyed for over 40 years!
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY PEOPLE!!

Responding to the correct customers, as I stated I went with my Dad not a husband. I had a reservation at 3p not 2p and did not have a female waitress it was a male. So it was not Only me that was ALSO complaining of the inferiority of the whole experience and you Do Not Remember me being difficult on Thursday. I do get it though as it must be difficult keeping all the complaints straight.
It isn't expensive to boil water w cranberries and sugar my 8 y/o has done it for several years now. There is no way in hell the chicken soup had the same taste or quality of "Old Venus" and I was not told or was it mentioned on the website it was a Buffet, hence the reason I did not call to ask for special arrangements for my Dad!
I also will definitely order D'ANGELO'S instead of being robbed by your new and inferior "Venus De Milo" or better yet Make my own Thanksgiving Dinner as I usually do.
Correct me if I am wrong, but a Restaurant Review is exactly that " a Review of the whole Dining Experience" Good, Bad or Indifferent, without input from You, telling me what My experience is or was. My Review is meant to assist others on deciding whether to dine there or not and not to appease you!!!
It's a damn shame that your responce is so Defensive and Unprofessional to an Honest Review of your establishment.
Instead of attending to the issues that are being brought to your attention, you waste your time trying to argue & belittle the paying consumer who is only trying to inform others about their experience!
Remember This.... We the Consumers will ultimately decide the fate of your Business!!!

Event: 10/25/24. Evening Buffet Style
Place was clean and the service was friendly, hence the 2 stars.
Buffet food was beyond disappointing. School cafeteria at best, and that’s being kind. Probably about 400 people and not one I spoke with enjoyed the food. I can’t say anything about the restaurant side, but as far as events go, I’ll pass.

Ordered 2 half gallons of lobster Newburgh from the holiday menu.... They gave me two half gallons of seafood Newburgh which contains shrimp and scallops.... I paid for a lobster Newburgh!!

I went to the hocus pocus brunch today it was amazing. The servers were on point bringing out food and keeping the tables clean. The show was great as well. Alot of fun. The Venus de milo was beautiful and decorated so nice.
