So now that We are home from a world wind of a trip of six Islands nine flights. Oh and did I say it was amazing yet. Well, it was! I wish I would’ve done it 20 or 30 years ago when I was younger But glad I did it. Well that’s enough. Let me get into the organizational skills of tour Azores planning I don’t know how they managed to get us from place to place with everything set and ready to go from Island to Island. In my world that takes great organization skills and communications With each other in their organization. This is the second time that we used them for this trip and we are about to embark on a third next year! So I know with their expertise it will be another adventure

I took the gastronomic tour of the Azores with Tour Azores. They were very good about arranging everything beforehand, so all I had to do was show up! The tour was very well organized and included both geological, cultural, and gastronomic destinations and activities. The accomodations were among the best the Azores has to offer and the food was absolutely delicious. The tour guides were all very knowledgeable and kind as well! As there is always room for improvement, I wish there had been a bit more communication prior to our departure. For example, most of us had booked the trip well in advance, and had anticipated some final communication within a few days of departure just to check in and make sure everything was in order. We didn't receive any sort of "Everything is all set - don't forget X, Y, and Z - see you soon!" communication. Additionally, we were told the tour guide would meet us at the first (transfer) airport, but in fact we didn't see him until we arrived at the final airport, which had some of us feeling in the dark during that transfer. Given that this was an international destination to a place none of us had been, a bit more checking in would have been welcome to make us feel assured that all was well! Despite this, I would still go on another tour with them, because it was beautifully arranged and guided.

My family flew from Florida, to Boston then landed in Ponta Delgada. The next day Miguel from Tour Azores arrived promptly at our VRBO. He drove us to the west side of the island on one day and the east side of the island on the next day. Multiple breathtaking stops. Both days he also took us to wonderful places for coffee & pastries and delicious lunch was included. He took my dad to his village of Maia that he left at 9 years old. Miguel was so knowledgeable. The entire trip was peaceful, beautiful and full of exciting and interesting information. Miguel’s beautiful Mercedes van was clean spacious and accommodated our family of 5 perfectly. I can’t say enough about the ease of booking with Elisa and the wonderful experience with Miguel. If you’re considering Tour Azores, go for it! You will not be disappointed.

Elisa de Melo did an incredibly wonderful job…every detail, from the special flight seating requests, ground transportation, the special requested tours, hotel accommodations, train tickets, stadium tour and restaurant suggestions…was perfectly timed and precisely executed.

My family and I are grateful to Elisa, particularly, considering how much we packed into 10 days; we covered a lot of ground effortlessly, thanks to her and the team.

Impressive and flawless is how I would describe our experience ….and by the way, each tour guide was professional, knowledgeable and extremely courteous. If you give feedback to your folks in Lisbon, Porto and the Azores…please let them know that each and every guide was just lovely…

Went on a 2 week Porto/Lisbon/Azores vacation, with our family of five (11, 14, 15 yrs) and it was so smooth with transfers, and hotels and tours. Tour guides were great and we got to see and do soooo much. During the whole process, it was always super easy to get ahold of someone and what was really nice was that they have a US and Portugal office, so you can contact people on both sides if anything comes up! definitely made me feel safer travelling with the kiddoes.
