Tortuga Inn was phenomenal. I believe we had 13 rooms booked in total we were there for a wedding. Didn’t realize when I booked my room that it was upstairs with no elevator not only was I given a downstairs room, which was an upgrade there was no charge for this. I’ve had multiple knee surgeries and could not possibly get up and down those stairs throughout the three days of my stay.
The grounds are immaculate. They are so well cared for it. It is like walking through a garden oasis. I’m met the people that rented the room on the backside facing the river. They had their own private pool and took me inside and showed me their place. It was a really nice suite. I would definitely book it next time. I can’t say enough about this place. It’s close to everything. You literally don’t have to get in your car. But make sure you explore the island and Maria has so much history From the old jail house to the school house, going to Cortez as well.
Longboat key was amazing. Just get out and explore prepared to take a lot of photos.

THIS PLACE IS GREAT!!! We love it here and come here almost every single year! The only reason that I gave 4 stars was that the last time we whent there was a lot of bees and smashed geckos and lizards on the ground, and also the second to last time there was a rat in our room( but they took care of it within an hour. They watched it and released it. No harm was made to the rat and then they gave us a free upgrade so I can’t complain too much.)…. But aside from all that the staff is friendly, they have coffee ( and a cute gift shop) the Location is amazing( less than a 15 minute walk away from ice cream shops restaurants or if you just want to take a little stroll there’s also a post office that is very close nearby),And last but not least…. The beach is within a 30 second walk(it is directly across the street!!!)(I recommend bringing a net if you are planning on trying to catch some lizard and then release some, of course, after or a few find a coconut and then you want to carry it back)☀️🦎🥥🌴😎

Our stay was from September 6-9, we were celebrating 🥳 my husband’s 65 birthday 🎂, and spending time with family. We rented through Virbo, which I will next time go through the Resort itself, we had a unit on the 2nd floor, 229, not bad but logging our luggage and groceries was a challenge!!!
The unit is cute BUT needs some TLC,
They supply all you need.
The staff was amazing, when we checked in the ladies were all very pleasant and in entering our room the fan was not working, and they came and replaced the whole unit!
The beach 🏖️ is directly across the street, beach chairs are available at the beach, the beach umbrella ⛱️ are in the room. They supply beach towels.
We will definitely return, but will make sure we have a unit on the first floor or a unit where there is an elevator!!!!

No issues. Our apartment setup was good. The waterfront view and private pool was perfect. Pet friendly however, there is no grass for dogs to use (if your dogs are grass trained). Other than that, a perfect stay.

Right across from the beach! Rooms have private patios, beach towels, beach chairs and an umbrella. Several pools and everything was clean. The grounds are very nice and the staff is friendly. I would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay!

Great room with everything we needed. Very well equipped and superb location. Plenty of beach beds available over on the beach and beach umbrellas in your room. Bed very comfortable. Even has a bidet, to wash, well, your feet, or even other anatomy! Overall good value for money and we would be very happy to return.
