Topgolf Allen is a decent spot for a fun night out, but it doesn’t quite match the experience at Topgolf The Colony. The staff here is friendly, and the bays are well-maintained, but the overall atmosphere feels a bit more cramped and less lively. The service can be hit or miss, with longer wait times during peak hours.

Compared to The Colony location, the food quality and drink service aren’t as consistent, and the technology in the bays feels slightly outdated. The Colony also has a better overall vibe, with a more spacious layout and a more efficient staff.

If you’re in the area, Topgolf Allen is still a solid choice, but if you’re willing to drive a bit further, The Colony is the better option for a smoother and more enjoyable experience.

Would I come back? Maybe—but if The Colony is an option, I’d choose that instead

We had quite a good time in this location. We were easily assigned a section despite being a busy weekend. The server was welcoming and food tasted good. Everything was great, only downside was the food portion. It was too less for the price we paid. Apart from that it was a fun experience. A must go place with friends and families ❤️

We had an amazing time. Our server Bre was very busy with many bays, but her service did not reflect it. We got our food and our drinks quickly and it was delicious. She was so friendly and sweet. We had a great time with family and friends and will come back soon.

While at our check in we were disrespected and it seemed like the check in ladies didn't really want to check us in. Our server was great he took the time to make sure that we had everything that we needed and he did it with a smile. Nothing like the manager and check in lady. This wasn't our first time here and we usually have a great time. Which we did only because of our server. Check in needs a little help with treating people respectfully

Came here on a Saturday. Probably 25% of bats in use. Over staffed with poor service. Nothing bothered me more than seeing paid employees standing around when tables are dirty, and slow service. Had to ask for napkins 2x when we had ordered food. They brought out 25 mins later. No one moving with any sense of urgency. I can understand why they charge so much for paying dead weight staff.

We had a terrible, discriminatory experience today at the Allen Topgolf location while celebrating my sister’s birthday. After waiting over an hour, we were assigned a bay — only to have it immediately reassigned to someone else. The front desk blamed a system error and asked us to wait again.

When we finally got a bay, the operations manager questioned our party size. We were 12 — including 2 seniors, my son with a disability who needed an adult with him, 5 adults, and 4 kids. Our plan was for the kids to play while the rest of us relaxed. We weren’t trying to sneak extra people into the playing area, but the manager repeatedly insisted we limit to 8 people.

While we were still trying to figure out a solution, a server came over and gave us 10 minutes to decide who would stay — speaking to us in a rude and authoritative tone, treating us like troublemakers. The whole experience felt discriminatory, as if they didn’t want us there.

After nearly 90 minutes of waiting, we left without even playing — despite plenty of open bays. What was meant to be a happy celebration turned into a frustrating and hurtful experience. I’ve collected the names of all staff we interacted with and will be reporting this directly to corporate. We won’t be returning to this location and strongly suggest others think twice before visiting.

When we asked for two bays they told us only one is available.
