Our farm Fly’n K Berkshires has sold Tyrell Thompson quite a few of his high meat quality registered Berkshire genetics. Tyrell is EXTREMELY hard if not impossible to get a hold of unless he needs something from you. Tyrell has generally paid, all be it extremely late. The last set of females we sent him he still owes us over $4,000 and will not reply back to us. All I can say is don’t do business with a person that won’t pay their bills and won’t communicate. This invoice is over a year and a half behind. I’m starting to wonder if he passed away?

When it comes to doing it right with farming, Thompson Heritage Ranch checks all the boxes! The flavor of the meat is unparalleled to any other pork I’ve had. Love that the farmers wear their hearts on their sleeves and are transparent about sharing their farming practices and incredible standards.

Deep pit BBQ with pig fro Thompson Heritage Ranch was awesome! I grew up on a pig farm in Iowa, so this juicy pork brought back good memories and our out of town guests loved it In pulled pork sandwiches and in carnita quesadillas then next day. Highly recommend!

The absolutely best pork chop I have ever eaten. Moist and tender and flavorful. Wow! I have never been a big fan of pork chops but I am now. I tried their sausage also and it too was fantastic.

As a veteran and active law enforcement, based on my experience, I can assure you that Mr. Tyrell lack the ability to run a business properly. Everything I say here is the fact and backed up with text messages as evidence.

On 08/13/2024, I paid $2190 to Mr. Tyrell for purchasing a whole hog. I scheduled a pick up day with Tyrell on 09/01/ 2024. On 08/31/2024, I send a text message to Tyrell to confirm the pick up date, no reply from Tyrell. On 09/01/2024, at 08:00 am, Tyrell reached out to me related that his kid was sick and he needs to reschedule me to 09/03/2024 at 12:00 pm.

On 09/03/2024, at 10:23 am Tyrell reached out to reschedule me again. This time, Tyrell said his truck had a broken tire. Due to the prior reschedulings, I offered Tyrell that I will drive from San Bernardino to his ranch to pick up the hog.

On 09/07/2024 I drove to his ranch. I received approx 7 to 10 boxes of products. I asked Tyrell “is everything in the box?”. Tyrell related “This should be everything”. I asked Tyrell “is the offal and pig head in the box too?” (I paid extra money for the offal and pig head). Tyrell related “yes”. Due to my prior experiences with Tyrell, I decided to open all the boxes to double check. Of course, the offal and pig head are not in box. So, I confronted Tyrell, and Tyrell related that the butcher put my products in the wrong box. Tyrell said he will get all my products and drop them off near my residence tomorrow. The same day I arrived at home, I weighted everything and realized I only received 108lbs of the products, instead of the 160 to 170lbs (which Tyrell promised me before I paid). So, I reached out to Tyrell, and Tyrell blamed on the butcher again.

On 09/10/2024, at approximately 01:14 pm, Tyrell reached out to me and related he have the “sausage from the cooler” (I didn’t order sausage by the way, I ordered ground pork). On 04:16 pm I reached back to Tyrell and asked him when can we meet, no reply from him. On 09/13/2024, I send Tyrell another text message, I asked him either provide me with the products or a refund. Tyrell replied to me that we can link up on 09/15/2024 to pick up the products.

On 09/15/2024, Tyrell reached out to me attempted to reschedule the pick up day to 09/16/2024. At this point Mr.Tyrell has totally lost my respect as a person, he rescheduled me 4 times.

If anyone see this message please be careful when you conducting business with Tyrell. I have never had such painful experience when purchasing products.

I'm currently about 21 hours deep into cooking a tonkotsu (pork bone ramen soup) made from THR's Berkshire pigs - neck bones, shoulder roast, and fatback. Just pulled the fatback and shoulder from the soup to prep for toppings and gave them both a taste.

Incredible. Outstanding. Pure. Clean. Beautiful. A bevy of compliments surging through the brain all at one time. I had to taste the soup, too. Unseasoned, still going, still getting better...pure liquid magic already. I don't need to wait until I'm done cooking fully, I already know how good this is.

Without a doubt, the most incredible pork I have yet to come across. God bless you, Ty; thank you for what you do.
