The Theodore was my dream until Todd. I guess we didn’t fit the mold.

I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent experience at The Theodore. Unfortunately, there were several areas that fell short of expectations:
Lack of clear and concise communication: This reflected poorly on the level of organization and reliability that I expected from this establishment. One I rooted for so hard.

Stalling: It appeared that there was intentional stalling to increase costs, which is highly unprofessional and erodes trust. Emailed constantly for a contract with the response oh we’re busy.

I also felt strong-arming tactics to push clients into using services they clearly didn’t need. This approach comes across as coercive and does not align with fostering positive client relationships.

These issues significantly impacted my experience and raised major concerns about transparency and fairness. Improvements in communication, ethics, and customer service are essential in building trust and ensuring a positive experience for future clients.

I was hurt and outdone by Todd’s actions and careless attitude. I’m sure he’s not this way with others. However, this was my horrible experience. FTT

I attended a formal wedding last weekend here and it was absolutely beautiful. The catering staff and bartenders were phenomenal. Everyone did a great job. I would highly recommend this place.

My new wife and I just got married here. Let me tell you, the waiting staff, bartenders, and set up crew were top tier. They were so helpful and attentive to all our guests and ourselves. I cannot rave enough about them. Food was really good too. The stuffed mushrooms were incredible. To the wait staff, cooks, bartenders, and set up crew - They get 10 stars. Thank you guys. We had an absolutely wonderful time.

The venue itself is wonderful. Very classy and has plenty of space.

I wanted to take stars away but I couldn't because I know some of this falls on us. So take my advice for what it's worth when you enter a contract with the Theodore.

First, read the fine print 3 times over; details will be missed between you and management/contractors. Second, do not take managements word as their bond. They're a popular venue and you're not their sole wedding priority; you are 1 of hundreds of events. I can see where things can get lost in translation. 3rd, you're paying a lot of money, take the time to be extremely detailed with your planner and management, even on very small things. Lastly, if you both are planning or you both and others are planning an event, make sure you are all are talking about it together and not talking separately to Theodore contractors/management; this causes unwanted chaos.

If you follow this, it will prevent issues from arising during your wedding week/day.

Went to The Theodore for a wedding reception. Excellent layout. A very nice venue for a large event with good parking nearby. Highly recommend.

Where do I even begin? The Theodore has been a wonderful experience through and through. Given that we have had a long engagement, the planning process has been extensive to say the least, but Jakob the venue owner has become more of a friend than “the owner” to my family and I. Every time we had a wedding planning meeting at the Theodore, he played fun music/checked on us/ and voiced how excited he was to see it all come together. Another fun aspect was the wedding menu food tasting that The Theodore hosts every few months. Our food tasting at the Theodore was lovely, and made choosing our wedding food menu so hard because of how many amazing options we had to pick from! They do have their own in house catering company, which make the process convenient and easy as you make your selections.

Another wonderful aspect of the Theodore was that it’s a one stop shop for rentals. Jakob has put together a wonderful look book for all their clients that lists all of their inventory. This makes the choosing of all your rentals so fun and easy. You can’t go wrong since all the furniture and rental selections are so beautiful.

Jakob is extremely professional, and has the greatest list ever of pre-approved vendors that will definitely point you in the right direction to plan your big day. He made the recommendation of the greatest wedding planner of all time, Erica Thomas, who has been nothing short of incredible the entire process. Jakob’s exact words to me were “Erica won’t just be a planner, she will become a lifelong friend.” And BOYYY was he right, and I still appreciate his advice to this day as she has been the biggest blessing.

A lot of venues do not include the little things that make or break a wedding day that can often go unnoticed, but Jakob thinks of everything. Our wedding is in three weeks, and I can honestly say that I trust Jakob and The Theodore staff COMPLETELY to make sure the day goes smoothly and perfectly without a single bump in the road, and it will be a night my fiancé and I, our family and friends will NEVER forget!

Would not let anyone in until 30 min ahead of wedding per venue management is what we where told not even to use the bathroom lady’s standing outside in the cold beef kabobs tough as leather chicken kabobs over cooked the dip and fruit was fine nine dollar drinks with maybe a 1/4 shot of whiskey there sign says one and quarter not even close I would not recommend this place at all but it was clean just another old wharehouse pretty plane nothing special! I would recommend useing shot classes at that price at least you could get what your suppose to be paying for per sigh on the wall!!!! Great wedding despite venue short comings👏
