My friend and I drove down from Oregon just to spend the day on the Whiskey, Wine and Mushroom Skunk Train and we could not have been more elated at the sheer kindness and generosity of everyone we met that day! As the train strolled to its destination, we enjoyed the open-air cart as it was THE perfect sunny day for such an adventure. When the train came to a gentle halt we were greeted by a platform of cheerful and helpful welcome staff to help us embark on the next leg of our journey...the tastings! We were ushered to a pavilion FULL of whiskey, wine and food vendors (all included in our ticket price) who couldn't have been more excited to share their libations and delectable mushroom-infused gourmet snacks! The food was amazing and the tastings abundant! We were also greeted by a friendly Sasquatch as he made his way through the great forest of Redwood giants. There were also large fire pits with hot dogs for roasting and s'mores for melting. It truly was the most delightful and memorable experience! I am grateful to have been a part of that very special day. A special thanks to Shell and Chris for making the day EXTRA joyous! I can't wait to go back and try out the rail bikes!

My group and I rode both the Skunk Train to Glen Blair Bar and we took the pedal cart tour as well! All of the Skunk Train staff are kind and helpful. Ember and Josh in particular were excellent and knowledgeable guides for the pedal cart tour. They are enthusiastic and pleasant stewards of this historical and fun experience! The Glen Blair Bar is nestled deep into the redwood forest, and it is beautiful! They had excellent drinks, service, and entertainment! The train itself is a fun blast from the past! I recommend the open air car on at least one of your rides. Riding at night is especially enchanting. I couldn’t recommend this more!

Short leisurely train ride to Glen Blair where we took a short 0.9 mile hike through the redwoods. Very informative and transports you back in time. There is a bar and concessions on the train. The bar at Glen Blair was not open there is a pavilion with seats and tables. Large yard games.
There was a wedding planned for the afternoon, so had to rush to catch the morning train.
Good time for decent price.

Really fun experience. On the way to Blair Bar we rode inside the train, but on our way back we rode outside and the view of the forest was amazing. We did the Skunk trail, which you cross on a small bridge to take the trail; great for kids because it's not a long hike and just amazing overall. I would definitely do it again.

We loved it, though it was a warm day but we stayed open area and loved every second. My favorite part was the Live singing and listening beautiful folk music. Our singer was so kind and kept smiling from start till end. He has a beautiful voice and I am so happy he played my request. Take me home, its a forever song and everyone loved it.
Only one thing that stop in between was too long or may be it could be a different experience if it was a nice day.
We sure recommend this ride for family and friends. Thank you to the team of the Skunk Train. God bless

Amazing experience. I purchased tickets for the Glen Blair Bar train and I will definitely do it again. I really appreciated that even on a busy holiday weekend, they did not overcrowd the train. Plenty of seating and room to move around. The scenery on the train ride out to the bar is absolutely beautiful. At the bar, lots of options for seating, fun atmosphere with live music, fire pits, different games and just a very relaxing setting.
I found all the staff that I interacted with to be friendly and engaging. I can't wait to go back.

The skunk train was so much fun! My family, sister's family, and our mom went, as part of her birthday celebration. We had ages from 4 to 68 and we all enjoyed the train very much.The train was clean with plenty of seating, small bathrooms in each train, a large shaded area in the back of the train where you could stand and view everything in the open, and a convenient refreshment counter for snacks or drinks available for purchase on board. You may also bring your own snacks.

Everyone was friendly and helpful. We took the 2 hour train ride, stopped midway, explored for about 20 min, and then returned. The train depot also has a cute gift shop and bathrooms available for guests.

The only that would make this even better is possibly having a few simple benches for seating in the open area.

We will definitely return for another train ride.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary over the weekend in Fort Bragg. The railbikes, skunk train, and redwoods were such a wonderful experience. This small town was a peaceful getaway to celebrate our decade mark.
