Staff was friendly. Outdoor seating was great. Decent beer selection at a fair price. Inside seating area smelled like cigs though. Food was soso and the fish tacos had bones. People in our group didn’t finish their meals so we had to eat somewhere else later. Unfortunately I doubt we return.

The restaurant sits on a marina, which is a very lovely view and provides a nice breeze. I would recommend sitting outside. They play a lot of music from the 1970s through the 1980s, which provides a really good vibe for the place. The service was excellent and knowledgeable. I ordered the Seafood Platter: cup of seafood gumbo, fried shrimp, fried crab claws, fried grouper, and oysters. Unfortunately, there is no ability to substitute for anything you don't want. However, the waitress was kind enough to remove the oysters from the plate. The gumbo was hearty, warm, and deliciously spicy with pieces of shrimp. The fried seafood was delicious as well, tasty breading and a good selection of their seafood. I ordered the most delicious seasonal dessert. The Lemondrop Cheesecake is so lemony and creamy with a perfect Graham cracker crust. I only wish I had taken a second slice to go! The meal totaled to $36.91, which I think is a very reasonable price for the food I received. I would definitely return to this place.

Great Sweet Potato fries! Nice views. Friendly waitstaff. Enjoyed the crab claws snd the shrimp and oyster basket. Oh - can't forget the good slaw.

The Pelican Reef is somewhat of a hidden gem. If you enjoy fresh seafood dishes, they have it here. There is access by water for boaters, which is a big plus. If there is a wait, you can wait in the separate bar area. With dinning seating right next to and over looking the boat dock being recommended. Fresh local seafood is always available here. Helpful staff, great food, and a good atmosphere!

We went as a family out to eat here and the service was amazing. They made us feel like valued guest. They were super helpful and informative about the menu. The food was amazingly good. We had a variety of meals but the Grouper was the best in my opinion. This is an amazing place to take your family. Thanks for being an example of what southern hospitality is.

The waitress qas super nice...the food, just awful. Margherita tasted like nasty chemical and hangs with you. Hush puppy bowl terrible, twice baked potato barely edible. The baked fish if rhe day, no dice there either, although my dog enjoyed it. Don't recommend at all.

I have lived in Mobile for years and have passed this restaurant many many times on The way to the island. Today we stopped and it was NOT a disappointment. The server Jess was totally awesome and the food was AMAZING. We have a large family and they was able to accommodate all 9 of us. The portions was plentiful and tasted great. We will definitely be back!

Inside smelled like smoke. Think it was coming from the bar. Great views. Service was just ok. We had a big party but they managed it well. Burger and fried shrimp were great. Do not recommend the coleslaw something off with the consistency. It was slimy. House salad was tiny- like child size.
