My now husband and I first started looking at venues for our wedding last fall, and fell in love with the small, home-y feel of The Meadows. It had just the right amount of elegance and the bridal suite was the best I saw! We had some issues reaching the venue to plan early on, but the second we started working with Lisa, their wedding planner, everything fell into place and all our questions were answered. She even set up my flowers with a local florist and personally picked them up for me to make sure I had the ones I wanted! The day of went smoothly and Judy the bridal attendant was there to coordinate vendors and make sure we got to eat! The food and cake by gourmet galley were fantastic and the guests loved them! Our wedding was rather small with 75 people. If you’re looking for a smaller venue with staff who treat you like family, this venue is the right choice. Thank you for a perfect wedding day!

My husband and I got married on June 23, 2018 at The Meadows. We worked with Danielle from Gourmet Galley, she was fantastic and made the process less stressful. The day couldn't have been more perfect. All the staff were very friendly and professional. The food was fresh and delicious. The view of the marsh was stunning! My guest had nothing but nice things to say about the venue. I would highly recommend The Meadows to anyone. Also, my bridesmaids and I had a blast hanging out in the bridal suite all day while we were getting ready! Definitely a day I will never forget!

I reached out to the meadows after getting engaged this past July. Within a day I had heard from them and scheduled a tour. After viewing the facility I fell in love with it for my smaller sized wedding. The meadows is currently undergoing a change in management and the person we met with made that clear. After our meeting I was told I would have a contract within a week, and we would be booked for our wedding. Weeks and weeks went by, without any communication from them. I sent multiple emails, unanswered, wasting my time waiting for my contract, when I am happily trying to give them my business. After three months of waiting I decided to book elsewhere and have yet to receive any response or said “contract.” Beautiful facility but terrible communication.

We attended a wedding last night here and it was delightful! With the weather perfect for an outdoor ceremony, we were able to enjoy the lovely flower adorned archway and bench sitting, and the appetizers under the veranda. Many of the guests also had fun playing corn hole. The food was delicious, both appetizer and main meal, and open bar had a good selection of choices. But what really stood out and prompted me to write a review was the competent and friendly staff. From the first people to greet us when we arrived to the very last person who thanked us as we left, we were treated as though we were special guests. Every waiter and bartender was pleasant and eager to serve us. When we tried to tip at the beginning of the evening, they said, "Oh, no!" How refreshing to see these young people enjoying their job! It certainly made for a very special evening. Many thanks to the wedding couple who invited us and to this very fine business establishment!

Beautiful location. Nice facility. Food was pretty good for a venue like this.
The outdoor accommodations were a bit dirty - like they had been left out in a heavy rain then just lightly rinsed off.
Service left a little to be desired, especially for having only a small wedding party. The staff was friendly though.

As a vendor; DJ & Photo Booth Business, It's All About You DJ Services, LLC were extremely impressed with every aspect of the Wedding Event we just facilitated, June 9, 2018. This was the first time working at this venue, so we had no idea what our experience would be like. The food was amazing! The staff were very friendly and helpful in accommodating our company, as well as all the guests. As a vendor we get the opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes and sit back and watch how their events are facilitated and let me tell you, the Meadows are "right on point". We work at 100's of venues in CT, so we know what we are talking about. Not all venues are accommodating to vendors, which always surprises me because we are all there for the same reason; to ensure the event is as successful as it can be. The owner, Ian is very involved in his business and event took the time to introduce himself. All that said, the person we MUST give KUDOS to is their Event Planner Danielle. She is amazing and right on point. Cool, Calm and Collected the entire time. Again, we work at many, many different venues throughout the State of Ct, and all Event Planners are not Cool, Calm and Collected. In our 30 years experience, we can tell you that when an event is excellently executed; whether it be the food, timeline, cleanliness, etc. it always has to do with the Event Planner. Danielle is Professional, Articulate & Experienced! Ian is lucky to have Danielle, but he already knows that, as he stated to us as such. That also impressed me that as an Owner, he quickly acknowledged what an asset he has in Danielle. The great execution of any event is so important, especially a Wedding Event, as you do not have a chance to redo it. It is so important to get it right and give each and every couple memories that will last a lifetime. Danielle does just that and understands how every detail matters. We will definitely be recommending this venue to potential clients going forward. Nice Job Ian, Danielle and your entire staff and thank you for being so accommodating and welcoming to our company. Great Work!!!!
