My husband and I got married in October 2024 at The Lake House and could not have had a better experience with Cassie & Mitch. We live in Michigan and planning a “destination wedding” was nerve-racking but Cassie was communicative and beyond organized throughout the entire process.
On the day of, when unforeseen issues arose with a few of our vendors, Cassie jumped in immediately and effortlessly helped move the day along as planned while keeping me calm and taking a great pressure off of me and my husband so we could still enjoy our day.

The venue is no doubt breathtaking no matter the season. Cassie and Mitch as well as their beautiful property are exactly what we love about East Tennessee and why we continue to be drawn back no matter where we live.

We so appreciate Cassie and Mitch and will forever recommend this amazing venue!!

My husband and I were lucky enough to be one of the very first couples to get married at The Lake House in March of 2022. From our first meeting/tour with Cassie and Mitch, I knew this location was exactly what I wanted, and that these were the people I wanted to be working with. It is truly a classic, stunning venue, and very evident they have poured their heart and soul into it. All communication and interaction with Cassie and Mitch both were wonderful throughout the entire wedding planning process, and they were so accommodating, warm, friendly, and on the ball! Our wedding day very well could have been a mess, as we got hit with several inches of snow and freezing weather early that morning, when we had been planning for an outdoor ceremony. Cassie, Mitch, and my wonderful wedding coordinator pivoted and made our wedding and reception both so beautiful, smooth, and wonderful. Cassie and Mitch welcomed us back to the Lake House months later so we could get more photos taken, and we spent most of the drive home talking about how much we loved the gorgeous venue and spending time with Cassie and Mitch. They are so warm, kind and welcoming, and Cassie's years of experience in the wedding industry are so helpful when planning your big day and on the day itself. I can be a bit of a control freak, but I felt so confident on my wedding day knowing that Cassie and my coordination Jamie had great taste and would make everything look fabulous and run smoothly, even with the crazy weather. I am forever grateful we chose The Lake House and am always telling newly engaged friends and acquaintances to give them a visit!

Cassie, the owner/wedding planner, and her husband provided exceptional accommodation from the moment I arrived until the final moments of the night.

Cassie's delightful demeanor and her enthusiastic approach to collaboration with both me and the other vendors were instrumental in ensuring that the wedding couple experienced the wedding celebration they truly deserved.

Despite the logistical challenge posed by the load-in/out process, especially in reaching the DJ area, Mitch went above and beyond to streamline the task. His proactive assistance, including loading my equipment onto his Gator cart to expedite the process, was truly invaluable. It's important to note that this challenge in no way diminished my unequivocal 5-star rating for this exceptional experience.

My daughter and her husband were married there last week and it was absolutely perfect. They were amazing to work with and went above and beyond to make sure my daughter got her dream wedding.

The morning of the wedding the weather was terrible and we were afraid we were going to have to move the wedding inside. To prepare they made sure the steps were covered with a tarp to keep it dry and he said he would be watching the weather. At one pm the weather broke and he set up the chairs and removed the tarp.

This venue is absolutely breathtaking. The bridal suite is absolutely perfect and a plus for any bride looking for a venue. The main hall has a wonderful prep kitchen. My husband and I own a restaurant and have catered at almost every wedding venue in the Tri-Cities and this is by far one of the best kitchen/prep areas. The main reception hall is gorgeous and has a beautiful view of the lake. The grooms quarters is perfect for the guys getting ready.

The best feature is the outside areas for pictures and the ceremony. The backdrop of the water makes for a perfect fairytale wedding.

I am so thankful for all the owners help making everything perfect for Piper and Skyler.

Could NEVER be able to fully express my gratitude for these people and this place. I got married here in August, and wish I could relive the day over, and over. The venue itself is a dream. Beautiful grounds, very well maintained, and the sunsets are something out of a movie. Can’t wait to see what the future of this venue holds. The owners, Cassie and Mitch Scott, went ABOVE AND BEYOND what could ever be expected of a venue host. They truly bent over backwards for me, making our wedding day nothing short of perfection. They seriously did anything they could to make sure my husband and I had everything we could ever want and need on our special day. By the end of the planning process/events they are more like family. This family pours their heart and soul into this venue, I witnessed it firsthand. I could go on and on, but to put it simply you’d be a fool not to book with this venue.

This is the most beautiful venue you'll find! We got married here in July and it couldnt have gone better. The owners bent over backwards to accommodate our every need. Cassie went above and beyond what we could have expected of her....and she wasn't even our coordinator! She spent hours ironing table linens so they would be just right (a detail I wouldn't have noticed). Hours before the wedding, she made sure the site by the lake was pristine and free of goose.....markings. Mitch was always on hand in a seconds notice for whatever we needed.

They helped make an extremely stressful weekend go over so smoothly.

I was a December 2023 bride at The Lake House. I had the literal best experience with Cassie and Mitch. Through the whole planning, they were absolutely amazing! From answering emails to scheduling extra showings when the date got closer. I had about 180 guest. They were complete champs on managing parking and making sure it went without a hitch. 15 minutes before walking down the aisle. It began raining super hard. We had to change to an indoor wedding and it went flawlessly. If I had to do it all over again, I’d choose The Lake House without question! So beautiful and such sweet kind people. This venue and owners are INCREDIBLE! I had my wedding here in July 2022 and it couldn't have gone more perfectly thanks to this amazing venue! Every step of the process from booking to day of was flawless and seamless. Cassie and Mitch are two of the nicest people and are genuinely concerned about making your day as perfect as can be. Nothing was asked of us that is unreasonable. The whole venue is included in your booking price and the grounds are very well kept. This venue is gorgeous and Cassie and Mitch go out of their way to make sure you and your guests are taken care of! I had a slip and slide exit that Cassie and Mitch made sure was set up, wet and ready to go for us!
I would recommend this venue to anyone who is looking and do not get discouraged by those negative reviews. My wedding coordinator raved about how easy working with the owners was! If I could get married again and again, I would choose this venue over and over!! Thank you for the most perfect day Cassie and Mitch!!!
