Hotel was wonderful, very clean, more than accomodating , allowed us to keep the room till afternoon when the car was ready. The rooms have been renovated and bathrooms are terrific. The breakfast in the restaurant is still excellent. The best bright spot was a family dinner for 50 people we had on Saturday night. It was a buffet but they had a wedding reception at the same time. The food was delicious, hot and plenty for the price. The staff had a lot to juggle with the Two events but did it well. Will use them again for our family reunion events. Very very pleased with the new management.

If your looking for a place to lay your head then keep on looking. This place is dirty and run down. Needs severe upgrading. Hallways are dark and dingy, needs new carpet in Hallways. Internet shows nice pictures but is totally misrepresents reality of what's there.
There is no pool like it shows in the pictures on line. It's all faults advertising.

When I first got there I was put Ina room that hadn't been cleaned yet, but I was off a 10 hr drive so I didn't care. That morning they woke me up , apologizing, and did a complete clean on my room while I went to the restaurant and had a very filling, excellent breakfast which I was comped. The room was great , the waitress, the front desk, the housekeepers, everyone was terrific.

My wife and I have frequently visited the restaurant and ordered from the menu. The food was good and has always been consistent. Based on past experience we decided to try the seafood buffet when we visited there recently. We were sadly disappointed.

First, I will state that the service was great. Our server was attentive and did a wonderful job. If I were able to rate them separately it would be a 4.5. The cheesy chicken tortilla soup was the other standout. It has always been a favorite at lunchtime and still rated a solid 4.

On the other hand, the "seafood" buffet left a great deal to be desired. Seafood consisted of catfish, popcorn shrimp, and sauteed shrimp. There was also fried chicken. The buffet was poorly stocked even though it was early in the evening (prior to 7 pm)and the buffet table did not keep the food properly warm. The popcorn shrimp was overcooked, but the coating wasn't crisp. It seemed that it was cooked and then stored under a heat lamp until it was put on the buffet. The other items on the buffet appear to have been handled in a similar manner. The fried chicken, normally a favorite of mine, was terribly dry and the coating lacked any real flavor.

As for the sides that we tried, the steamed broccoli was mushy and had no flavor. The breaded cauliflower, when it was fresh, wasn't bad.

I really hope that this was a fluke as I've always enjoyed their breakfasts, soup and salad bar, and sandwiches at the restaurant. In fact, the table next to us ordered a catfish sandwich that looked amazing. For the time being we will stick with menu items and hope that they find ways to address the issues with their buffet.

The Holiday is nothing extravagant by any means. For the price they charge it’s a great value. I’ve stayed multiple times and in both the older rooms and the remodeled rooms. The remodeled rooms are definitely an upgrade from the 1970s tiled bathrooms 😂. It’s straight up a basic place to stay. It’s not the ritz Carlton like a lot of people seem to expect. But the rooms are clean, the beds are actually comfortable and don’t kill my back. There’s a full bar with beer, booze, and wine. The front desk employees have always been friendly and make check in easy even with an old school system. I am still waiting to be able to get breakfast here as I’ve heard it’s good. The drivers at the company I work for utilize this hotel quite often. I have had dinner here before. I happened upon a buffet by chance one evening. There was a Rotary meeting that night and once that group has their first round at the buffet, it’s opened to the rest of the public and kept open and replenished. They had ribs and chicken and sides to go with. I was not disappointed at all. The burgers are pretty good too. I have heard good of the steak but haven’t tried it for myself yet. Maybe next time. Tonight I had the honey cashew chicken. I’m on the fence with that one. The chicken itself was done great. Juicy and tender. My baked potato was very obviously microwaved and not the greatest. The soup was pretty good! But just like any place things will be hit n miss. I’ve had a lot worse experiences in places that were brand new and cost twice as much. ||||To the people saying the rooms are old and dated. They’ve been remodeling over time and continue to update rooms. If you get an outside room it can be noisy, but that comes with any place of the sort. Brand new hotels are staying away from carpet and the noise transfer is horrid. The inside rooms are much better. So if you’re worried about noise request an inside room and you’ll be fine. If you want new, fancy, and overpriced there’s a best western down the road for about $170 a night. But they don’t have a restaurant. They might have a bar. If it’s open. ||||I’ll take this place over an overpriced bed any time. Especially when there’s somewhere to sit down and eat my dinner, get a friendly smile and even have a bit of conversation over a drink or beer! Oh did I mention towels shaped in to roses… or my favorite so far a teddy bear?

We frequent the area to fish. We always stay at The Holiday. It’s not a super modern room. We don’t mind that. The beds/pillows are comfy, clean room, and super friendly staff. We also enjoy the restaurant. Great soup/salad bar. We’ve enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner with plenty variety. We’ll be back, as always!

It is an older property but don't let that fool you!! This is a hidden gem. The rooms are clean, the whole property is amazingly clean. The managers are so nice and friendly. They take care of anything you need right away. The restaurants food is so good and the bar in the hotel is spot on. Prices for stay are the best! If you are passing through Olney this is the place to stay.
