Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I have been so fortunate to have enjoyed several events at the FT. The staff are always delightful and welcoming. This event tonight was a Tuscan wine tasting. And yes I purchased three bottles. Lol. The pairing is helpful to contrast the flavors but all wines were from the same area of Italy. 🇮🇹 We also have signed up for a Ravioli cooking class in Jan. Can’t wait 😛
So I have to say the Peconio was my favorite. The cheese and crackers were perfect compliments to the wines. I would highly recommend trying a tasting or a cooking class this season. Enjoy 😉

I’ve had this on my Gainesville Bucket List for some time but never could seem to fit it in my budget. So when my bf workplace chose to hold their annual Christmas party here I was excited. We were greeted by Michelle and she offered us complementary sangria. It was very well balanced with the fruity aspect to alcohol. Probably one of my favorites I have tasted.

Our cooking class was a dedicated demonstrated cooking class taught by Michelle the owner. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about her business. She walked us through briefly what she would make : a bruschetta , lemon vinaigrette salad , herb oil linguini with eggplant and zucchini and for dessert a vegan chocolate cake with raspberry compote. She got started and would direct us through why she did things a certain way like salting bruschetta right before serving it,
since it draws out their moisture, which makes their flavor more intense.

It was a fine evening and I loved the ambiance of the budding. So much history behind but still preserved to this day. Definitely recommend for team building activities.

My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner here in April and it was AMAZING! The food was incredible and presented so beautifully. The entire staff was very friendly, helpful, and worked efficiently. My guests were thoroughly impressed the entire night, and I can’t wait to have an excuse to come back for a cooking class or to throw another event!

I love the cooking classes at the Fat Tuscan. The atmosphere is historical and beautiful but not stuffy so you feel at ease when learning something new. My mom and I attended a crepes cooking class and it was so much fun. Plus Michelle, the chef-owner puts a wonderful buffet spread with drinks to enjoy before, during and after the cooking class. If I lived closer I would be here all the time!

We had an incredible evening here and enjoyed making tiramisu (my fav dessert) and gnocchi together during one of their date nights. The entire team goes above and beyond from the moment you walk through the door. Michelle makes you feel at home! The food was just amazing and it was easy to follow the instructions. They did the perfect amount of prep so that it is manageable in the class time but you are still very involved in the process. We cannot wait to go back!! Grazie mille! Ci vediamo presto!

The Fat Tuscan hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner this past summer, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was absolutely amazing, the venue itself was charming and lovely, and the owner Michelle was a delight to work with. From our first meeting with her we knew we had found a gem. We had planned to do the cocktail hour outside in the courtyard, but since we were getting married in Florida in the summer, that day it was pouring rain. The staff made it work no problem though, and the cozy atmosphere inside still allowed for warm conversation and mingling without being cramped. We had about 25 people which worked well with seating guests in the main dining room and two side rooms. The whole night and even since, everyone was asking how we found such a venue and how wonderful and unique the experience was to have the place all to ourselves. I can't overstate the deliciousness of the food, and everything from the music in the background to the table settings made the rehearsal dinner an unforgettable moment in our wedding weekend. My husband and I have since purchased two of the cookings classes and can't wait to spend more time at The Fat Tuscan.

Was there for a whiskey pairing event. Four course meal. They accommodated my dietary restrictions. The food was very good. I look forward to attending another event at the Fat Tuscan. (And no, she is not fat.)
