Great atmosphere. Octopus was phenomenal. Pork belly tacos were to die for. Bruchetta was amazing. Had the Skate fish which was the catch of the day and I couldn't believe how well they cooked such a delicate fish. Delicious. My wife had the Petite Filet with Gorgonzola Cheese medium rare and it was slightly overcooked but still good. She also had a Lobster Tail side that was perfectly done. My son had the Greek Lamb shank with Roasted Brussels in a Sweet Thai Chili sauce that I cannot speak more highly about. Get them. The lamb was falling off the bone and had a generous amount of meat. For our 1st experience here we give it 5 stars. Staff was friendly and fast and food was nice. Can't wait to go again. Highly recommend.

I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised at how good this place was! I love seafood, but I typically don't order it unless I'm on the coast (seafood needs to be FRESH)! We started with the Maryland Crab Cake, which was delicious! In most of my past experiences, crab cakes are always too dry when I order them & lack flavor. This was not the case here! It was excellent! We also started w/ the Pork Belly Tacos, which were very good as well, but I thought the spicy mayo was a bit too heavy. I ordered the Clam Chowder (I'm VERY picky about my clam chower & this one was SO GOOD), & the Sea Bass (Caribbean Style) that was on the Catch of the Day menu. It was damn good & fresh tasting! The Cioppino & Pork Shank were also very impressive! Will be back to try more things! Keep it up!

Dined on a lively Saturday night with our 15 month old. The host, owner, and our server couldn’t have been nicer! Ordered the crab cake appetizer, red trout, and strawberry cheesecake gelato. All were fantastic! Such a gem of a restaurant.

You cannot order anything but a fantastic dish! Everything made is newer to my pallet and has made me enjoy ordering new dishes! Flawless cooks, freaidly greetings from lady at front perfect restaurant. Thank you for bringing a place to make Ottawa proud!

We’d just had cocktails up the street and decided we didn’t want to cook on news years eve, obviously they were fully booked but they very graciously allowed us to sit at the bar and order a bunch of oysters and appetizers. We ordered the crab imperial, beach buddies, thai Brussels and angry mussels, along with a few oysters.

Everything was cooked perfectly (obviously not the oysters, we had those raw).

The pork belly on the beach buddies is some of the best I’ve ever had, and everything was fresh and tasty.

The service was attentive and entertaining without being over the top, and the place has a really nice atmosphere.

Highly recommended and thank you guys for squeezing us in! We will be back!

The Beach House is a one of a kind experience offering fresh seafood and beach dishes influenced from around the world. The decor made you feel like you were on the beach. We had the crab cake and oysters garlic meuniere for an appetizer. For our entrées we had the last Snapper special with jasmine rice and South Carolina Shrimp + Grits (Being from the Midwest I have never had this and it was my favorite if you like a little heat). Because the food is so light I feel you always have room for dessert. The only negative is also a positive-The Beach House ran out of all of their specials by 7:30 on a Saturday night. However, that is also a sign of its popularity. For an escape from the ordinary, try the Beach House in beautiful downtown Ottawa!

Fire on the beach s’mores was perfectly executed and sooo delicious !!!
Great date night experience.
Service was attentive and friendly !!!!!

I worked in restaurants a long time and I know exactly what happened the night we had a reservation. We were one of the last tables sat, and some of the servers were being cut, so in order to ensure they got cut, no one wanted to take our table. The FANTASTIC host got cut and left after he ensured we got sat in a nice table. So after sitting for 15 minutes someone came to help us, after she and few others walked by 3-4 times. The ordering process was slow and drink took another 10 minutes. The another 5 minutes to get our order in, only to be told they are out of few items. So we paid for the drinks and clam chowder and left. Went down the street and got served promptly. This was 9/22/23the host and the chowder made this NOT a 1 star. Edited the date***
