In July, I met three friends in Tuscaloosa at The Alamite for a girls' weekend. Four of us who graduated from The University of Alabama in the late 80s/early 90s came together from four different states at the Alamite. We checked in on a Friday afternoon, and we were greeted warmly by Santina and Farrah at the front desk. They were cheerful and professional and served us up complimentary champagne! That's the way to start a weekend! The four of us were staying two to a suite. We were in Suite 326, which was spacious and comfortable with a great shower and air conditioning (very important). Our friends were staying one floor down in Suite 226, and they were very happy, as well. We loved everything about this hotel. Valet parking was super easy. The rooftop bar was fun for late nights. But most of all, the people who work there were the epitome of southern hospitality! We loved it, and we will be back! Special thanks for Santina and Farrah for treating us like queens all weekend!

We traveled from Texas and had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The service was outstanding, and Demi, our server at the hotel bar, truly made our trip memorable. She was friendly, fun, and a wonderful ambassador for Alabama—our Texas group couldn’t have felt more welcome!

By far the best hotel in Tuscaloosa. It's close to restaurants, the rooms are very nice and clean. The customer service is top tier. I can't wait to go back.

Although, we thought the hotel was nice and probably the nicest in Tuscaloosa, we had a horrible experience. The first night, we had to be moved to another room because our tv and phone did not work. The next night, we wanted to hang out in the lobby with a few of our friends who also had come from out of town. It was very late on a Sunday night, and we had all driven about 20 minutes in a thunderstorm back to the hotel from a wedding. When we get there, the front desk tells us that we are not allowed to hang out in the lobby. Mind you, there are other people in the lobby, and we are a group of about 10 black people. At the end, we were kicked out and forced to go up to our room. We spoke with the manager next day, and she said she’ll speak to the front desk lady because she was new. We were also supposed to get a call from an operations manager to further rectify the situation but never did. As Gold elite members, we will never stay here again and will encourage others not to, as well.

I’ve been to the Alamite on a few occasions once as a guest and again a few times as a diner. My most recent dining experience was quite good. I chose the grilled chicken caesar salad accompanied with a glass of water and an expertly made side car cocktail. My salad was delicious. Crisp romaine, seasoned grilled chicken, and house Caesar dressing. Pair that with the incredible staff and the view, makes for one great recipe.

I always try to give the best reviews when I go to luxury hotels. My first time experiencing this hotel and I truly believed that I was going to have a great experience. However, that wasn’t the case. I reserved a standard king room in which I could not get. So I settled for the accessible king room in which I accepted because they had a group of guests coming in for an event. I think it might’ve been for a wedding party so I just counted my losses because I didn’t want to ruin someone else stay. But, once I got to my room I found dirty linen/mattress. So now it gets bad because that’s a pet peeve of mine especially in an upscale hotel. Regardless , if I paid third party or not. Now, I am not a happy camper because I have somewhere to be and I only have 40 minutes to be there. After going back and forth with management( Ms. Wiggins), I eventually get the housekeeper manager who did assist me with kindness and got my bed squared away. And offered to take me to the event that I missed due to my husband going while I took care of the room situation. I then go to address the Operation Manager (Ms. Wiggins) who was very nice nasty towards me. After all I had endured she basically dealt with my situation as though I wanted something for free. But, nevertheless I was the one who suffered a great deal and still had not been totally satisfied. But, I digressed to say, I will never come to this hotel again. I will post pictures of the bedding and I ask each guest to make sure you check before you lay. Be blessed

This is a great hotel. The wife and I were in town for a job and stayed here for a night. Everything about this place is top notch. The food is good and the drinks are better. Live music on the roof top bar. The best thing about this place is the staff. They are truly spectacular.

We love this hotel and usually no complaints but this time around … Housekeeping 👎 we would put the card on the door for service at 8am, be gone for the day, come back about 3pm and the room still wasn’t done. The 2nd day I told them not to do it at all. It was too late. This should be addressed.
