I am the Owner of Moving N Grooving DJs and I had the opportunity to work an event with That Special Event this past weekend. This was an outstanding experience!

Maya & Jerry were the people I worked with and I could not have been happier with their service and professionalism. They are Pros! Maya was my point of contact for the day.

They were very detailed and involved but let us vendors do what we do as wedding pros.

Maya was always available during the event but did not ever step on our toes, which I appreciate. Some planners will show up the day of the wedding, take over the event, and treat us vendors like they are the boss of the day. This was not my experience with Maya. 100% Pro and 100% awesome human!

I used That Special Event for a party at my home August 3rd. My 2 servers, Norma & Pablo, arrived on time. They were very professionally dressed, so kind,so helpful, really wonderful all day! I couldn't have been happier! They were both courteous & friendly with our guests. They managed all my requests beautifully! They were both wonderful & exceptional! I can't wait to have another party & use them! Thank you!!!

I used them for a backyard party and they were very attentive and amazing. Phone calls were returned and the office staff listened to my needs and placed me with the best server ever! The server used their vast experience to help with food set-up and placement. Party was fabulous due to the help and assistance of That Special Event!

Incredible group here! Our wedding had some hiccups but Jerry, Maya and their team made sure the event and the guests wouldn’t be affected. Jerry is a pro in don’t know what else to say he’s got a keen sense of style, you give him something and he turns it into something beautiful. Our wedding looked pretty with their help and advice. I will hire them again on our 10th, 20th, 30th anniversary’s.

On July 31st That Special Event staff set up and served at our wedding reception. Everything was absolutely great! Presentation of the tables was beautifully done. Staff was friendly, helpful and professional. They did everything above and beyond to make sure that our reception was perfect in every way. Jerry and Linda made my backyard wedding dreams come true. They are truly a pleasure to work with. Linda helped me with the planning from months out. When the time came and I needed help figuring the layout with the tent company, Jerry and Linda were at my house within 10 minutes to make sure the tent company set everything up for the optimal flow. They helped us figure out where the buffet would go, where the bar would go, and the setup was beyond beautiful. They flipped “the room” after the ceremony during cocktail hour and I barely noticed, which is telling when everything is just one big space. I could go on and on about how wonderful they are. The entire staff was phenomenal. I highly recommend them for your next event.

I planned a bar mitzvah in less than three months at a venue that required me to bring in everything. I was about to give up when my sister-in-law recommended That Special Event. They saved my party and coordinated everything seamlessly. Jerry and his staff are exceptional, and Jerry was able to help me stay calm with several alternate plans in case of predicted severe thunderstorms during my indoor/outdoor event. Our bar mitzvah was spectacular, and I owe much of the success to That Special Event.

That Special Event was the caterer for our two day wedding this past weekend and their staff is beyond professional and the best choice you can make. Weddings can be stressful, but Gia and Jerry did everything to make sure we were well informed and patient as we asked what seemed like a 100 questions.

Jack the captain for our event was fantastic. Our guests commented on how great he and his team was. They are all very honest and ethical and set the gold standard for how catering should be. I will only recommend them.
