We had a unique situation due to some paperwork that was filed wrong during my sons adoption. (Not their fault). They spent 45 minutes figuring out a way to get him an Id with his new name. They could have easily turned us away until the other agency fixed their mistake. They took the time to make it happen. It is very much appreciated.

You set an appointment and because of uncertain events happen you get turned away. This appointment was due in part because in my town it was booked up to 2 months. So I still had to wait 4 weeks and because of 2 minutes I get rejected for an update for my medical card for my employment. Tax paying Texans should not be turned away. Their websites indicates from 8 am to 5 pm. I understand if it’s 5:01 but it was 4:47 pm. I was told that they end their day at 4:45 pm . Furthermore, lady said I could come back tomorrow without an appointment at 8 am . Go figure? A very unsatisfied Texan. Very poor customer service!

I was lied to about the insurance I needed to obtain an id. I checked with my insurance agent and the website. Sure enough, the heavier, younger lady lied. I had unopened mail with my current name and address on them. One from my bank and the other from my c.c. company. She wouldn't accept them. I drove back to get more bills and frantically calling my insurance agent to find out what was going on. I live and hour each way.
While I was there the second time, they stalled a woman and her little boy by saying they were having computer problems while they called the police. Both the woman and her son were being completely respectful.
Just don't do it.

Made an appointment, got my number called an hour and a half after the appointment time. Even though I showed 30 minutes early. Make your appointment, and then show up whenever you want. It doesn't matter. brought all the required documentation and application for my texas DL. Was told my valid U.S. passport "couldn't be verified". Not entirely sure what that meant other then that I couldn't get my drivers license, despite bringing in everything that was required. The staff were very polite and the facility set up for social distancing.
