I reserved 3 sleeper cabins for my friends and I, as an overnight rest stop. Much more charming than I expected, with clear care taken for amenities.

If you're staying at the sleeper cabins, you're getting what you paid for. With the expectation, it was super nice.

The stars at night were beautiful, and catching the sunrise on the hill to the east was also special.

Overall good spot. Near the national park, clean and good views. This is definitely an efficiency type place. Not a luxury hotel, but that wasn't what we were after. Our hotel room had a bathroom, which was nice. The water supply limits & septic rules were unexpected, but not a deal breaker. Wifi was a plus!

We booked two nights here. When we arrived we were disappointed to learn that this place wasn’t at all like it was advertised to be. The place was dirty, the ottoman at the foot of the bed was dirty and stained. The shower which was located outside was hard to find in the dark especially to punch the code to open. The shower curtains were yellow stained on the bottom.

After learning these things we requested to cancel the second night but the manager refused and said there are no refunds period.

My stay in this place...2 in 1. First and last. Down to the fact that the price charged was $60.00 more than quoted when the credit card information was taken. Fool me once your fault, fool me twice, my fault.

Truly an incredible experience!! This place is basically as close to Big Bend NP as it gets. Super cozy rooms with a perfect heater for the cold nights. Campfire area was so fun. The shared bathrooms were super nice and clean. Easy check in with the lock box. Star gazing was AMAZING! Overall a 10/10 experience. I will definitely be coming here again if I ever come back to Big Bend!

Just don't do it. The rooms advertised they slept 4 people but there was only one bed. The worst part of our trip was our stay here. We had people sleeping on the floor because everywhere else was fully booked, even though this host had cottages available. She refused to even offer a discount after her misleading advertisement. The bed was not even attached to the headboard and the bathroom door was on a slide that didn't work. My husband was the only one that was strong enough to close the door. Our child left a stuffed animal and I reached out to the owner asking if I paid shipping if she'd be willing to ship. She agreed and shipped it. It cost $6 to ship; she billed me $32. When I told her I thought that was a steep price, she replied, "she could've thrown it away". That tells you everything you need to know about this business.

Book a the terlingua nights sleeper cabins only out of desperation and for proximity to park. |1. No bathroom attached|2. Tiny room that can only fit a full size bed and barely enough room to fit our small bags (on the floor bc they had no table or bench to use). |3. Old school mattress|4. Unwashed quilt|5. Plastic cover on mattress that makes crunchy noises when you move|6. No heater|7. Allowed to take a 5 minute shower only|8. Cannot flush toilet paper|9. No TV|10. Rude manager|11. Shower was cold, hot water for only 3 min|12. Uneven shower floor|13. Microwave outside. Odd. ||Need I say more? Terrible. We paid over $200 for this atrocity. Not worth what we paid. Better accommodations at mission lodge across the street. Never again. ||A few nice things to say:|1. Covered parking next to room|2. Stargazing good when porch lights are off

This place is great if you like simple living. It’s a tiny room with great atmosphere. You have a Keurig coffee pot and a little fridge. The bathrooms and showers are shared, but they were immaculate and we never waited for anything. If you are a camper and hiker, this is the place for you. You have covered parking right next to your cabin with a little table and chairs for meals. Or you can you can use the 4 person table in a shared area and enjoy both east and west beautiful views and a breeze. There’s also 2 grills and a slow cooker and microwave in the shared area. WiFi was a great plus. No tv, but this isn’t a place to stay inside. You are only 15-20 minutes from Big Bend National Park or the Terlingua Ghost Town with the Starlight and the old jail and a cantina. Way too much to do in 4 days. There’s a fire pit area with chairs and you have your own 2 Adirondack chairs to put out in the front or back to Star gaze or watch the sunrise or sunset. We had a blast. We didn’t use the pool that is available at the Terlingua Ranch to TNC guests, but we met friends in Lajitas to use their pool. It was so cozy and all the guests were so friendly and welcoming and considerate. I will add that a very large person would not likely be comfortable here.
