What an amazing experience! We booked Tasty Plates through Blackstrap for our intimate wedding in October and everyone loved the food! The servers were amazing and Chris was so easy to work with. He prepared the meals so beautifully and it was so wonderful having him present at our reception dinner. Would totally recommend! The food was outstanding! 10/10!!!

We recently hired TastyPlates to cater my mother-in-law’s 70th birthday party at home, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. From the moment we reached out, their team was professional, accommodating, and easy to work with, making the planning process smooth and stress-free. Andrea and Chris could not have been more amazing to work with!

What truly set this event apart was that Chef Chris cooked on-site, creating an interactive and personalized dining experience for our guests. The menu was thoughtfully curated and exceeded our expectations. Guests were welcomed with curried butternut squash soup shooters, which were rich and velvety, setting the tone for an elegant evening. A beautifully arranged farmer’s cheese bar provided a selection of artisanal cheeses and accompaniments that impressed everyone.

The passed hors d’oeuvres were another highlight, especially the perfectly prepared lamb bites, which were a guest favorite. To make the evening even more special, Chef Chris prepared a custom pasta dish at my mother-in-law’s request, showcasing his versatility and attention to detail.

In addition to the incredible food, Tasty Plates also provided a bartender on-site, ensuring that drinks were expertly crafted and flowing throughout the evening. This added a polished touch to the event, allowing guests to fully enjoy themselves while we relaxed and celebrated.

From presentation to service, everything was flawless. My mother-in-law was thrilled, our guests raved about the food, and we couldn’t have been happier. If you’re looking for top-tier catering with an on-site chef and bartender, I highly recommend Tasty Plates. They truly made the night unforgettable!

We hired Blackstrap / Tasty Plates for catering and rentals at our October wedding. The food was absolutely delicious! Their menu offered great variety, including vegan options, ensuring all our guests had something yummy to eat. Many guests complimented the food and went back for seconds.

Andrea was fantastic to work with! Having previously worked at our venue, Overbrook House, she provided valuable planning advice. The entire staff was incredibly kind and professional. They had our specialty cocktails ready for us after the ceremony and brought us some of the apps to us while we had a quiet moment to ourselves before returning to everyone at cocktail hour. They were instrumental in making our day special and perfect!

Tastyplates is AMAZING! The presentation, the quality, and the hospitality are all 11/10. We got a farmers board, which was an absolutely stunning spread of fruits, vegetables, meats, and cheeses, as well as pulled pork sliders with slaw and a corn salad. The spicy bbq sauce they brought was absolutely out of this world too. Cannot recommend enough, I will absolutely be using them again for large and small events!! Thank you!

Working Kate and the tastyplates team, from first contact to the actual ceremony and reception, was a positive (and delicious) experience throughout! Kate did a great job making sure nothing was missed in the planning, and was so generous with her time when I called or emailed with the inevitable nervous bride questions. She even called the cake company for me to confirm they would be there on time. On the day of, she kept everyone on track and on time, without being intrusive or bossy. The servers did a great job, and the food was absolutely incredible. The food was steaming hot when it reached the buffet, and the presentation was lovely. At every table, there were completely clean plates and satisfied guests.
