.66 mile walk to summit on a nice trail so not too long to get too worn out of you are not use to it. Steep at times with strategically placed park benches, especially helpful on a warm day. We saw people running all the trails including this one though We could not have :). Very cool rock formations at the top. Worth the walk.

Ok, so I am going to tell you now, this is not for the faint at heart. This is not a standard walking trail up a mountain. You are literally climbing!! So for us city slickers, find someone who has experience if you want to go up to the very top. You can walk the trail to the plateau but you won't get the amazing views unless you go all the way to the top. I am a bit chicken and scared of height but it was definitely worth it!!

Short and sweet. Nice incline from the get go. Once you reach the rocks, go left to find a crevice - there's a faint arrow on the ground pointing to it - and climb up that way. A little spicy if you're afraid of heights or have never climbed anything.

Beautiful hike! You can walk to the base of the rock (all uphill) and stop or climb the rock straight to the top. It is well worth the climb! Absolutely beautiful view! I didn't have the best rock climbing shoes so I did it barefoot ‍♀️ hey, it worked for me! Getting up is also easier than getting down. Would not recommend if your afraid of heights. A friend of ours was about to have a heart attack just watching my sister look over the edge.?

Short uphill hike with some rock scrambling to get on top. Wonderful views and the breeze was great on a hot June day. Recommend walking the Hidden Pond trail as a nice little warm up before you start the ascent.

Had a good hike today with my family as we made our way around the base trail and then up over the summit. Trails are well maintained, wide and fairly easy with a few steep sections up to the summit. Great views at the top. Dog freindly!. Easy to find.

Pretty at the top- tough to get there, we still aren’t sure we made it to where you’re supposed to go. Ran into a couple wondering the same thing. Nice short little hike. Also have a completely paved path going to a little body of water at start of hike (multiple trails)

Sugarloaf Mountain has several trails with different degree of difficulties - we went up the Summit Trail on Memorial Day Weekend and it was very nice. The trails are open and maintain very well. It is steep so I wouldn't recommend this for small kids or anyone that may have trouble walking up steep inclines. When you reach the top there is climbing involved on rocks to go up the rest of the way. We did not go all the way to to the top with our 5 year old because it was a little more advanced.
Sugarloaf Mountain is located about 3 miles outside of Heber Springs. We went to Collins Creek and Sugarloaf Mountain in the same day. We spent about an hour at Collins Creek and 2 hours at Sugarloaf Mountain. Collins Creek is about 4 miles from Sugarloaf Mountain.
