I have visited this place more than a few times & always a charming experience. Very comfortable, clean rooms, some with jacuzzi's. Romantic getaway for couples! I had my honeymoon here also. We enjoyed the king suite once as well, I believe it was called. Very impressed, would highly recommend. Great service! Beautiful atmosphere. Comfortable lobby. Friendly owners/staff. Worth a visit anytime! Convenient location, easy to find with plenty of parking spaces.

I was a bit hesitant after seeing the reviews, but decided to stay here still and was very happy. It's an old inn, not a modern hotel, so some parts are a little older or more rustic, but overall the room was great, the bed was comfortable, and the whirlpool tub was the star of the show! We stayed in a king deluxe ensuite.

The man who checked us in was nice and friendly, and made sure we were all set. Just keep in mind it's a small family-owned place, so they don't have staff in the office 24/7. Not a problem for us, but if you're arriving late then call ahead!

Great inn. Owners very personable and helpful, but also laid back and gives you your space. My hubby and I had an amazing experience for our anniversary. A quick ride (all highway) to six flags which is a plus! The jacuzzi is awesome!!! On the second night we came back to a note offering us another room as the AC didn't work (we didn't even complain or notice) which was extremely generous. They really take care of you here!! We will be returning in the winter to use the fireplace!!! This is the best inn I've stayed at for such a nice price. You will not be disappointed!

This place is my absolute favorite place to stay in Sturbridge! It offers so much rustic charm and a unique environment that appeals to my family and myself. The management has always gone the extra mile to accommodate our requests.

We stayed here for our wedding in 1998. Today I write this in the exact same room, celebrating with my husband and our beautiful daughter. We have stayed here several times since 1998, maybe 6 times since then. Every time, we leave happy. In an ever changing economic climate, tastes change. I am so happy however that not much has changed at the Sturbridge Country Inn. Always relaxing comfort at an affordable price and unique amenities. Thank you so much for everything these past 20 years!

This was a much needed relaxing stay in one of the coolest towns New England has to offer. The room was very clean and comfortable and the owner was very kind and accommodating. I would definitely stay again and recommend to friends. The huge tub in the room was awesome. Easy access to the main routes and old Sturbridge village right next door. Super awesome spot to rest and unwind.

Read all the negative reviews, they are all true, and doesn’t appear the management has done anything to address the issues. Had to pay for 3 nights in advance, no refunds, otherwise would have checked out after one night. The building and grounds in poor repair. The ice machine is still broken, our room was clean enough, the bed looked like a 4 year old made it, the mini- refrig didn’t work, coffee machine , but no coffee or cups. The air conditioner did work well, the tv newer and lots of channels available.. the bathroom tub/ jacuzzi was a nightmare.. almost impossible to get in/ out of, biggest deal-breaker of all. Outside poorly lit at night.. for parking or enterance.. the outside “ locked door” was never locked. The office seemed to always be closed.. it was kind of a messy lobby.. we were never told where the pool was.. wasn’t obvious, it wasn’t disaster, but at $139. A night, it was a rip-off. With some upkeep and attention it could be ok, but it is obvious the management has no interest in the lodging or hospitality business. This place is ok only if you are desperate.. and then not for long.

On arrival I was instantly taken back by a musty stench. The lobby was dark and messy. The room we had reserved was supposed to have a working fireplace. I was told the fireplace in that room didn't work and we could switch rooms but, would have to CARRY the 3 foot high refrigerator OURSELVES to the room across the hall. We changed rooms because the original didn't have a working fireplace and the view from the room was a bunch of chairs stacked up,a broken fence and over grown weeds.||We moved across the hall, with the fridge and microwave and coffeemaker ( which come to find out was broken) The room was dirty. The bath was dirty and had hair in it. Lots of hair. The inn keeper came into our room to show me how to work the tub. He noticed the hair and said " this may have been your hair" .||The stains on the ceiling, floor and the bedspread were disgusting. The coffee maker was broken and even if it did work there were no coffee cups. The room didn't have a hair dryer and they only supplies us with one 2oz shampoo for 3 days. The worst part of our stay was when we arrived back to our room the second day, housekeeping left the window wide open. No lock, no screen. Our room was on the first floor with all of our belongings in it. Anyone could have gone in through the open window not to mention all the bugs that were let in. ||This place is run down and poorly staffed. The inn keeper comes and goes throughout the day. Stay anywhere else!

Drive through this area frequently and wouldn't stay anywhere else. The rooms & amenities are clean & spacious at a more than reasonable price point. Comfortable beds, cozy fireplace, soothing whirlpool tub, mini fridge, cable TV, antique furnishings, etc. Whatever your reason for staying in the area, this is the perfect fit for the majority of travelers Front desk is responsive and goes above and beyond to address any issues that may arise or be of any assistance. As somebody who has stayed here on numerous occasions I can state without a shred of doubt that you will be pleasantly surprised by this place.
