I hired Sofia Calvin from Storied Travel for the first time in the fall of 2024 to plan a trip for my wife and me in Colombia and Chile. The trip itself took place in January 2025, and we had a wonderful experience. We first had video conferences where Sofia tried to get to know us personally: what we enjoy doing, our expectations, the type of accommodations we wanted, special requirements, etc. Based on this information, she provided a first draft of an itinerary that fit our budget, and it took several iterations to go over the details and arrive at the final version. During this entire process, I was impressed by Sofia’s knowledge, professionalism, kindness, good spirit and sense of humor. Sofia and her team have been “accompanying” us remotely the whole time we were in South America, checking us in before our flights, making sure everything went smoothly and providing timely fixes for delays or tour cancellations that were out of their control. Upon our return, she asked us to meet again so we could provide our feedback and help her identify areas where she could improve. Needless to say, we highly recommend her, and it is clear that we will use her service again for other trips in the future!

I selected Sofia to help me plan a dream vacation to Egypt for my husband's 50th birthday! Best decision ever! We met over video conference to discuss our needs and wishes. I told Sofia I did not want to have to do anything but show up and she delivered. From an assigned attendant greetng us at the airport managing our entry into the country to a personal guide for all of our tours through out Egypt our logistics was seemless and pleasant!

The travel package Sofia provided was vigorous and well planned. My husband is a historian and has always wanted to visit the 7 Wonder of the World. The plan that was put together had him in awe the whole trip! We did not decide to go on this trip until February, which was late in the game for a May travel. Between the tours to the temples in Luxor, Edfu, and Aswan via Riverboat, to the Great Pyramids, shopping, camel and 4 wheeler rides in Cairo our trip was that of exploring and adventures! Needless to say, Sofia is now our official travel agent!

I won't lie, when my wife first told me she was working with a travel agent she found thru a trusted travel site I was a bit skeptical. As it turns out my skepticism was completely unfounded. Sofia with Storied Travel not only worked with my wife to create my wifes dream itinerary to Egypt, but even the most miniscule details were taken care of. The accommodations made for us were just beautiful. The guides provided to us were wonderful people, very knowledgeable and each had a different method of information delivery (none were bad), and all very personable people. Our drivers were phenomenal, and each day of our trip was just as amazing as the one before. Beyond the absolutely amazing trip we had, Sophia was extremely communicative. She video contacted us prior to us leaving home for the trip. She tracked our flights and watched our progress until we arrived in Egypt. When we arrived and were handed off to her colleagues local to Egypt, she was still only a what's app message away, though we were in quite capable and trustworthy hands. If at any time during the trip we had any questions, comments, or worries, we not only had Sophia only a message away but also had the number of our local Egypt travel coordinator and colleague of Sophia, Mustafa, who was just as awesome as she was, making sure we were comfortable and on schedule as we visited our way through our itinerary. We were able to live my wifes dream vacation and unknowingly to me it also turned out to be my dream vacation too, all because of the hard work and dedication of Sophia and Storied Travel. We were even greeted with a follow up video chat after returning home and returning to normal, just to go over the entire trip and discuss our likes, dislikes, suggestions, concerns, comments, and questions. Sophia will definitely be hearing from us again in the near future for our next dream vacation. The only negative thing i have to say if you've made it this far, (thru no fault of Sophia..Storied Travel..or the Egypt team), was that if you do journey to Egypt, be warned that Edfu temple is amazing, just breathtaking, but if you want to go there and are at all empathetic to animals at all, DO NOT take the horse drawn carriages, please try to find another means of transportation scheduled ahead of time, just walk, its about a 20-30 minute walk but far better than contributing to the carnage. Or skip the stop all together if you must. The carriage mafia's treatment of those animals is disgusting, despicable, deplorable, and inhumane. The horses are overworked, dehydrated and underfed, they are emaciated to the point of their rib cages showing thru their skin, they are physically abused to the point of blood draw, they are exhausted to the point of collapse, and if they do collapse they are beaten publicly until they get back up and force themselves to work out of fear, literally until they die....It was such a devastating and heartbreaking thing to see that we (my wife and I) were literally in tears and it absolutely ruined the experience at the temple and if we were aware of those conditions as well as our inability to travel to the temple from the cruise ship any other way (you are forced by threat of detaining your tour guide), we would have skipped the stop or just stayed on the ship, it was so devastating and made worse by the fact that my wife and I are vegan for the sheer ethics of the diet only for the sake of not contributing to the suffering of any animals. So please dont go there unless you have other arrangements, the carriage mafia need to be held accountable for their evil cruelty, they need to treat their horses better or dissapear, and that will only happen if people stop accepting this as the norm! Now with all the unpleasantries out of the way, the remainder of the trip was just wonderful and amazing. Pictures, videos, nor words of any kind can truly do justice to the astonishment you will experience visiting Egypt. And to that end, Sophia and Storied Travel have earned repeat customers for as long as we are able travel. Thank you again!

Sofia has been our "go to" twice. First she set up a trip that my wife and I will forever treasure to Italy. She set up air, great hotels, tour guides, taxis, restaurants etc. Was perfect!!!! The second trip was to Aruba and it was the typical "on again/off again" trip because of Covid. She helped us through that so very well. When we finally got to go, her choice of our all inclusive was a "perfect 10". She is so eager to make our dreams come true and she has.
