Great begining to what will become a longer Railtrail.

Nice level parking lot with clear signage and a map showing the current plan.

It is possible to hike or even mountain bike from here to Ayer, MA or from here to Greenville, NH.

This is the begining of the currently completed railtrail that runs from here to Townsend Harbor. A second segment from Townsend Harbor to the Groton line is minimally cleared but not improved. Then there is a short section in Groton that just opened. The portion from Townsend Harbor to Groton is scheduled to start construction this fall.

Everything else in Massachusetts has abandon railroad tracks still in place some bridges in disrepair and washouts to contend with but walkable.

The tracks have been removed in New Hampshire and the trail has been improved for years.

The trail is new and still being constructed. It begins in Townsend MA, ran 4.25 miles today then walked again with a dear friend of mine. Great place for a run.

Trail is great to go for a walk if you live next door but don't bother driving miles there to go for a bicycle ride it's the shortest trail we ever seen only a couple miles ......bummer
