The hotel is located on Calumet Ave. and at a stoplight so easily accessible and has a well lit parking lot. The reception and lounge area are large and welcoming, as was the desk staff. The king suite was a good size and comfortable, extremely clean and well furnished. The bathroom was large, well lit and had a walk in shower which was appreciated. My only complaint was the mattress which was not up to par with better hotels, lumpy and hard. However I was told they are renovating the hotel and hopefully new mattresses will be part of that. Breakfast was average and there was a bar open in the evenings. I would definitely stay there again.

I sent my daughters 12 and 11 with another adult to check-in and listed the other adult on the reservation to help them check in so they could have their own beds. When they arrived they were told they could not check-in unless an adult over 21 was with them. This policy was presented at time of check in and not when it was booked. The kids had to make other arrangements. My wife and I arrived the next day as we were traveling internationally and couldn't get back and checked in the following day.

I was charged for both nights and not just one. I get the policy for not letting teenagers or just anyone check-in but I had a mom and her daughter with my girls and they were being supervised and also staying at the same hotel.

The manager was professional but wouldn't consider the circumstances and said I'm sorry it's just the policy I'm in professional services and this is poor service. We get to vote with our money and with so many choices out there I wouldn't be turning good clients away. I will not be staying at this hotel ever again and unlikely a Marriott for some time. All that lost business over a 1 day refund... It's about the principal not the money.

Morgan Fuller is an outstanding front desk agent, and I highly recommend her. With customer service standards declining lately, I wanted to take a moment to recognize those who truly deserve it. Her professionalism and dedication made a significant difference in my experience.

Great location, especially now that they're building up the area. We had a very relaxing stay, the pool was nice and clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our roo. Could use some minor maintenance like tightening fixtures and whatnot but it didn't take away from our stay. It's walking distance to kitaro (the best sushi restaurant in the area by far), a coffee shop and lots of other things to do. We come here once or twice a year and plan to keep doing so.

Editing to add: I see some negative reviews about the tvs. THEY TURN. They're on base that swivels people... come on lol

Booked this on a road trip. I made the reservation just an hour or so prior to arrival. We were very kindly welcomed by Morgan who when I told her my name let me know they were expecting me! I’m a Marriott member and already had a personalized note in my room when I arrived. Hotel itself is much nicer than others (courtyards /res inn/ Fairfield) along that section of I80 tho it is about 2.5 miles just south of the highway. Well worth that extra bit of travel time. Will likely be our “goto” when traveling. Did not have an opportunity to dine but there are a few walkable restaurants nearby that really look pretty good.

As a business customer that stays 100+ nights with Marriott, this hotels policy of billing a nights room in advance, if they are sold out, tosses a wrench into my expense statements. I now have two billing instances and only one bill. I get why they do it but there needs to be an exception made for Bonvoy members that are Silver and above. This policy will make me pause before using this hotel in the future. Outside of that mess, the hotel is clean, the breakfast was decent, it's in a great area, and I loved the front desk staff. Grade F for the billing though.

The hotel is nice and the staff were great. MANAGEMENT, on the other hand are SHADY. Keep a close eye on your bill. They WILL change your rates without discussion and without notification after agreed upon contractual rates. Be cautious and attentive of unapproved, altered room charges. I would not recommend this location because of their DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES. They have been reported to corporate.

Location is nice, with plenty of restaurants to walk to. I was greeted kindly by John in front lobby who was very accommodating and nice. My room was clean on the second floor but until nighttime I didn’t realize how thin the walls were. The person in the next room had their TV on so loud and didn’t turn it off the whole night I barely slept. Next there is a nice street light in the parking lot that was right outside my window and even with the blackout curtains it made the room glow like it was daylight out. John was at the front lobby when I checked out he listened to my concerns. The one thing I made a mistake is I should’ve called the front lobby about the TV next-door and they would’ve handled that that was my bad but I made the suggestion about the blackout curtains with that street light beaming in the room they need extra protection in there other than that, it was a normal hotel stay.
