Our tour guide Charlie was on top of everything…..from when to arrive at the parks, the trails to take and the time to get each National Park…Absolutely superb!!

We wanted to do a Utah National Parks Tour, but were not certain where to book? Of course you do your due diligence, ask friends, read endless reviews, look at Trip advisor , find something close to your budget, expectations & hope for the Best.

Well all of the above happened as we got the ball rolling in November of 2022, looking , asking, pricing & calling Mr. Will Warner at Southern Utah Scenic Tours.

He was a very kind gentleman, who patiently answered all of my questions, concerns & he did so with grace & compassion.

We did not actually book our May 1st trip until January 2023, due to some schedules on my end.

Some of our other calls to S.U.S.T. I spoke with a very sweet gal & a gentleman called Tom "Wags" Wagner. This gentleman was pure GOLD, gave me the 411 on an average day, recommended hiking boots, walking sticks, if needed, dress, attire & packing light & to be flexible.
Being 62 my biggest concern was "bathroom breaks" & Lodging accommodations , Wag's assured me the option to stop existed virtually every one to 2 hours. Fair enough, I am SOLD!

The next day the firm send me some email ready documents, waivers & disclosures, very complete package, easy to understand, comprehend & sign/execute.

Mr. Warner & his team highly recommended buying trip insurance from any one of several third parties, we did not.

Documents signed, 50% down, off to book flights & 2 rooms.

The genius of this company & the Mighty Five tour is, you land in Las Vegas on the Friday, Saturday or even Sunday prior to your trip, as the Utah Shuttle leaves Vegas at noon & 4 pm for a brief 2.5 hour ride to St George Utah.

So we arrived in Vegas at 6pm on 4/29/23, stayed in a local hotel 2.5 from the airport with no casino gaming.

Our tour guide & point man was none other than "Wag's"

Think of the kindest person you every met, then multiply times 20 and you would have Tom Wagner. Just a perfect fit for the two of us & another couple from Georgia, then another 12 people joined us Monday morning for our first excursion to ZION.

Highlights, we toured 5 national parks, 2-3 national parks & several double secret locations Tom has discovered since moving to Utah from the mid west in 2017.

The tour bus is in fact a newer Mercedes Sprinter, 15 passenger van with seating for 15, but the stop selling seats when they get 12 guests, plus so you get a different view every day & different guests to tour with, we rotated seats in the van daily, one row at a time.
The van was roomy, freshly cleaned daily & Wag's provided snacks ,treats & water every day.

Also noteworthy is the Mercedes has a luggage compartment in the rear, which held the One Large Suitcase maximum, in the rear cargo end, safe & secure.

Tom our cruise director, also had a microphone to talk to all of us & point out facts & highlights along the way.

Although the tour officially begins at 7am on a Monday & your in ZION by 8am, you'll spend more than enough time in each & every park. We were never once felt rushed, we are allowed & encouraged to actually stop and take it all in, time frames were all very reasonable.

After visiting 5 National Parks in 5 days, the tour moves north & ends in Salt Lake City , where you are encouraged to book one last room on your own & to fly out on a Saturday, as if you book a Friday Night Flight, your arrival in SLC is not an exact science to actually arrive in town before 6 PM

We flew out at noon on a Saturday which was perfect.

The hotels & restaurants that the tour company picked were all five star or better.

All of them served a very good breakfast included package, so you'd be ready to hike.

Two of our evening dinners & one lunch were booked by the tour and they were excellent, especially the Spotted Dog in Springdale , Utah & our good bye meal in Moab Utah ay Pasta Jays.

Some closing thoughts of this tour, which is worth mentioning.
I doubted my own personal ability & stamina to hike anywhere from 3-5 miles daily. As I am 62 years young & weigh in at 321.

I am very disappointed in this company and cancelling policies. My wife and I were going on the big 5 trip and the day before I had to go to emergency room, I was told that I couldn't go on the trip because I was to sick. So we call the company let them know what happen. I know the policy about cancellation, but I was hoping they could return part of money, but the answer was NO. I was not asking for all the money back, but maybe the hotel portion. Again the answer was NO. But Mr. Warner said I should have gotten travel insurance, which my credit does have. I tried that and when the credit card people got hold of the company they just sent cancellation policy. Before retiring I owned a business and if something like this happened I would have made it right with the customer so everyone would be happy. I will never work with this company because of the cancellation policy and the difficulty working with owner.

Wonderful private trip with Southern Utah Scenic Tours! My father had been wanting to see the National Parks of Utah for years. He looked at different tour options and decided on Southern Utah Scenic Tours. Boy, we are sure glad he did! Will worked with us on the places we wanted to see, the logistics of it all and developed a wonderful plan for our trip. Tom was our guide and he picked us up in Las Vegas. My dad is a western movie buff, so Tom took us to a place where scenes from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid were shot. It was very interesting and historic. We visited Zion, Brice Canyon, Canyonlands, Arches, Goblin Valley State Park, Gooseneck State Park, Monument Valley, a western museum outside of Monument Valley, Glen Canyon Dam and the northern rim of the Grand Canyon. Tom also took us to Snow Canyon State Park and ruins of an old Mormon fort. We really appreciated all the things he suggested. This truly was a spectacular trip! The accommodations were fantastic, the restaurants suggested were excellent and the care Tom took for my dad throughout the trip and all the help and running around we did when my teen son got sick was exceptional. We had a great time, loved every minute of it. (Except the sick part) We are so glad we chose this service and spent a little more to see so much more than we ever would have been able to see on our own. Tom was fantastic. We enjoyed him so much. We laughed, talked, told stories and just had a blast together. Tom feels like family now. It was a wonderful trip and this company and Tom are highly recommended!

We had such an enjoyable time on this tour! our tour guide Tom was very knowledgeable and very well educated! we learned so much on our tour about the history of the surrounding area it was great! I would recommend this tour company to anyone who wants a stress free experience

We had a great experience with Southern Utah Scenic Tours! We only needed a one day tour of Bryce but we had a kind of large group. They were able to accommodate us and it great to not have to do the driving. The area is so beautiful you really don't want to drive and be distracted.

Our guide was super knowledgeable and friendly. It was great that we were able to decide to spend more or less time at places depending of the feeling of the group. It allowed us to lunch at the Bryce lodge which was an unexpected highlight.

We just finished the Mighty Five tour. Our guide, Kirk, was excellent; very knowledgeable, professional and fun. The weather was less than optimal and Kirk tweaked our itinerary slightly to provide an indoor activity while waiting for the rain to stop, so we could enjoy the parks without rain. The van was extremely comfortable. The small group made for faster dining and restroom stops, leaving more time for enjoying the parks. Also, it was easier to get to know the others on the tour. I highly recommend Southern Utah Scenic Tours!

What an eye-opening, awesome experience. Bob, our guide was great! Saw sights I’d only read about. Wonderful accommodations each night and the small group on our van was great for comfort on the daily rides. Met a bunch of people that bonded quickly as the tour went on.
