Dominique (owner) and her team were nothing short of amazing! As a type A bride who had a vision & wanted to be very involved in the planning, Soul Agave’s month coordination was perfect for us because she could bring my planned vision to life - taking the pressure off family and friends. We had a backyard wedding of our dreams. Our package included her and an assistant and then we opted to pay for addition staff- extra assistant and bartender & supplied some family/friends to help with the flip (chair and table set up). We loved the flexibility of pricing because Dom will work with your budget and how involved you want people helping to be. Her team can do it all or work with you & your budget.

The team had quite their work cut out for them as we got married in a house- no venue staff. We got ready, had the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in same house- they flipped and set up everything exactly how I imagined. Dom was communicative and helped me to find all my vendors as an out of state bride in the planning process for months leading up to it. Any day of glitches were handled with expertise and professionalism (Dom running to get more water when filter water ran dry at house, picking up last minute items we needed for the bar the morning of, supplying candles when the ones I bought did not fit in the candle sticks, walking our ring bear pup down the aisle when he got scared, etc).

Dom did an amazing job at taking what was inside my head and making it come to life! The day of the wedding, everything went seamlessly, and we really appreciated Dom's expertise throughout the entire planning process. She had great connections with the vendors and so much knowledge on the little details that make a wedding flow smoothly. She also did a great job on the signage. Dominique guided us the entire way of the wedding process. She was extremely organized and has a massive data base (in her head I think) of everything wedding from vendors to themes, invitations, decorations down to the table linen colors! Everyone at the wedding commented on all the little touches and extras that added to the event. She's extremely creative and puts her entire being into your day. The day of I felt her excitement and love! She can handle 20 things at once with ease, calmness, directness and being pleasant at the same time! She made me feel at peace that everything was falling into place. I trusted her completely!

Dominique is an absolute gem to work with! She is very thorough, creative, and such a joy to collaborate with and be around. I highly recommend Soul Agave for any event! They helped us plan a Grand Opening event at an apartment complex with an invite list of 300 guests and it went perfectly without flaw. Dom and her team captured everything and more! I am so happy I chose to work with Soul Agave! I will absolutely be using them in the future for events!

Dom was so wonderful to work with for our Grand Opening event. I don't know how she pulled all of this off but everything turned out so lovely. She took so much pressure off our team so we could enjoy the event and she was so calm through the whole process it made us all feel calm. I would absolutely use her services again.

Dominique and her team were the day of coordinators for my wedding. I hate leaving bad reviews, but I felt it was important for brides to know my experience. I had a few issues with how their services went. The first being that Soul Agave had my husband, my FIL, and his groomsmen all helping set up the day of the wedding. All the guys helping were already showered and dressed in their suits and ended up getting sweaty moving things around to help Dom and her team get set up before the ceremony. They felt they didn’t have another choice, because the set up would not have been complete if they didn’t help. Soul Agave should have added more staff to ensure the set up was completed on time prior to the ceremony instead of recruiting my husband to help on his wedding day.

The second issue I had was that I had a song that was very near and dear to me that was supposed to play right before I walked down the aisle. It was one of the ways I had incorporated my faith into the ceremony and it was really important to me. One of the planners told the DJ to cut off the song in the middle just because THEY felt it was too long. It really threw me off because it was written into the ceremony script and Soul Agave not only had my ceremony script in hand but they also had very clear instructions on all important songs.

There were a few other things that happened throughout the night that I wish would have gone differently. Soul Agave and I spent a lot of time going over the details of my wedding prior to the day, but it still seemed like they were unaware of what was supposed to happen when multiple times. Overall I felt they were underprepared and not super detailed, and I wish my experience had been better.

I am continuing my review based on the response given by Soul Agave below:

I am not sure what reviewing 8 months after the wedding versus reviewing sooner would have made. What’s done is done, unfortunately. My husband saw and heard Soul Agave tell the DJ to cut off the worship song, which is very disheartening and something I really wish would have gone differently. Soul Agave knew about the timing issue with the bartender prior to the wedding, as they made this known to me the week prior to the wedding. They said they would handle it, but that was not done, which lead to my husband and his groomsmen helping. Like I mentioned previously, they offered to help because they had to, otherwise the ceremony would not have been set up on time. They helped in 79 degree weather, as this was the high on the day of my wedding. I wish Soul Agave would have owned up to their mistakes instead of making excuses, but like I said what’s done is done, and there’s nothing that can change the experience I had at this point. Like I mentioned in my previous review, I just wanted to make brides aware of the experience I had.
