On March 19th 2025 we held our end of year sports banquet at Sons of Italy. From the first phone call I had with Bridget, the Hall Manager, she made everything for our event run smoothly as she had described in our conversation about what we should expect the day of the event. The hall was set up as we expected and the bar tender was fantastic and helpful throughout the evening. I highly recommend Sons of Italy for any event you may have: Again Bridget is extremely knowledgeable about the business and is available to answer any questions you may have.

I recently attended an event at this venue and could not have been more impressed! The staff were all extremely polite and attentive to all our needs and the function room was impeccably clean and appealing. We had a such a great time thanks to the staff and management. I would not only recommend this facility to anyone planning an event but will also definitely come back for any future family functions.

One of my favorite venues in the Northshore. The venue is perfect blank canvas and clean. The staff is amazing, professional, friendly, and helpful. The venue manager always goes above and beyond to ensure every event is successful. It’s always a pleasure working with the team.

This business is reporting negative reviews so that they are taken down.

Tonight, I attended a wedding at the Sons of Italy in Winchester that was shut down by management hours before our party was to end. Our party consisted of those who practice Islam, so we don’t drink alcohol. The bartender took it upon herself to ruin the night by refusing to serve water or any drinks for hours because in her words “she wasn’t making tips from us.” When we finally received some beverages, she began taking pictures of the wedding guests without permission. The party was advised multiple times that no photographs were allowed on speaker and this bartender had no regard. After being asked to delete the photos, the bartender called the police. This left a terrible taste in the mouths of many that have used this facility before and will no longer do so. A wedding reception ruined over tips. What a shame.

***I’d like to add that a former employee reached out to inform me that Sheila and Gail are notorious for acting this way so I would definitely be careful spending thousands of dollars here.***

If I could give ZERO stars . Please BEWARE, STAY away from this place . What I witnessed tonight is an absolute definition of race discrimination and hate but what I cannot believe is that this happened in my home town of Winchester. I personally have never been to this particular function hall until tonight but after what I witnessed tonight, I will never go to this place again and I will make sure that our experience tonight is all over the social media and all the Winchester residents should be aware of the hate and discrimination towards many internationals and tonight, in this particular case, towards the Muslim community. I am not sure where to start from but this lady I believe her name is Sheila who presented herself as an employee of the "Sons of Italy" she should be fired immediately. I was sitting on the table right next to the bar and I personally witness her nasty comments to many guests at the party. Some of them include her saying " she is refusing to serve anymore water or soft drinks to the guests as she is not making enough money in tips". !!!! what Wasn't she aware that it was a non alcoholic wedding? ? Regardless of whom this employee is, all I would say shame of the owners of "Son's of Italy" and its managers to allow this lady to call the police and stop the wedding because she saw one guest bring a case of water to give to the guests as this bar tender Sheila was not willing to serve water or soft drinks anymore to the guests.
When I came out to see what was the noise in the back of the restaurant, I noticed there was a police there and I asked the two officers what was happening they said there were called by the owner of the place and because the guests were violating the contract by bring the few bottles of water they needed to leave the property? What? All of this because of the few bottles of water you are willing to ruin someone's wedding and kick them out of the hall early. You should be ashamed of your actions!!!!! These very nice, peaceful and humble people rented the space until 10pm and the party and the guests were started to be kicked out at 8 or 8:30 already. You are saying "they breached the contract by bringing a few bottles of water" and there was no other way then to stop the party? The bottom line is, the police was called at 7:30 or 8ish by this crazy lady Sheila whom was just waiting for anything to happen as she was being miserable that she was not getting enough tips at the non alcoholic wedding. If this was any other wedding that included non internationals or white ( and I myself am white ) this would have never happened. She was just simply bothered by the fact that it was a Muslim wedding and no alcohol served and she was not getting any tips that she expected. I am speechless of how much hate this employee Sheila and the owner of this miserable place must have towards internationals and in this particular case Muslim community. I am physician with a pretty busy life style and never really write reviews, so the fact that I am writing this long of an review hope it speaks for itself and how bad I felt for the bride and the groom and all of the guests the way there were kicked out simply for no good reason, just because of their race. SIMPLY NOT ACCEPTABLE to ruin someone's wedding for such silly reasons and you, the OWNERS of "Sons of Italy" should be shame of what you did to this poor family tonight and the employees you have!!! I truly hope you go out of business because of what you did tonight and I hope this wedding party takes you to the court for your actions!
