This trip was absolutely incredible, and I can’t say enough good things about Captain Katie! From the start, the snorkeling was amazing, but honestly, the most unforgettable part of this trip was what happened with my wedding ring. Now, you might be wondering why losing my wedding ring would be something worth remembering, and you’d be right—until I tell you the rest of the story.

I stupidly forgot to take off my wedding ring before going snorkeling, and within 5 minutes of getting in the water, it slipped off my finger. I was devastated and honestly let it affect my mood for the rest of the trip. Fast forward two days later, and I get a text from Captain Katie—with my wedding ring on her finger!! I was beyond shocked, grateful, and honestly, I feel like she may have just saved my marriage!

I can’t recommend this crew enough if you’re ever in Key West and looking for an unforgettable snorkeling experience. Captain Katie went above and beyond, and her honesty and kindness truly made this trip special.

I’m attaching a picture below as proof for anyone who may think this is fake. Captain Katie, you’re a lifesaver! Thank you so much!

We had read reviews beforehand so we knew going in it was going to be a clean room but very old and outdated. Upon arrival the check in process was quick and smooth and lady was friendly. From there it went downhill. It was pouring rain and taking our luggage up the stairs under the awning that was dripping straight down over the walk way we made our way to our room. I will say it smelled clean no musty smell like other reviews have said. The curtain rods were warped and bending down on ea side (see pic), table & 2 chairs both chairs were stained, end table was warped, light bulb burned out between beds, electrical outlet next to 1 bed didn't work, toilet had skid marks that weren't ours and there was no soap. Thankfully we had a small bar from prev hotel, there were quite a few tiny flies enough to notice. Moving on to the Tiki bar we were excited that they had happy hour 4-6 we were looking forward to some drinks/dinner after a long day upon arrival it took awhile to get served. Bartender seemed more interested in serving all the regulars 1st. We just didn't get a good vibe from the place. We decided we were going elsewhere to eat dinner. It took nearly 10 min to pay for our 2 drinks. 2 diff bartenders said I had to wait for the main bartender to count his drawer or something. Finally a waitress came up to me and I was able to pay her. Only good part of tiki bar was the bartenders cute dog.

I will say it does have a fridge, microwave and a nice shower.

We had a great time! We went to 2 different parts of the reef. One section had turtles, reef sharks, and sting rays as well as beautiful colored fish of all types. Very knowledgeable captain who pointed out different varieties of fish and answered questions. It was great to be out in the ocean with someone who enjoyed his job and wanted to be sure that we were all having a good time.

Rooms were adequate, clean and beds were comfortable. Free wifi but I was never given the pass code.

The only bad thing was the tiki bar next door had a live band, with the speakers all facing the hotel rooms so we had to listen to obnoxiously loud bass guitar when we were trying to sleep.

If you're the kind of person that stays up late, this is a great hotel. If you go to bed early and get up early, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Where do we even start? We heard about this place from a travel blog and the lady spoke so highly of her Looe Key Resort Snorkeling experience that we decided to give it a try. From the moment we met the crew we knew we’d have a blast. Captain Katie, first mate Chip and dive instructor Josh were all so friendly, funny and welcoming. They were thorough on their safety instructions, and how the trip would go. We even stopped once on the way out to grab a balloon that was floating on the surface to prevent turtles from getting caught in its string. The reef was incredible. The visibility was a little low from hurricane idalia stirring up the waters the week before. Nonetheless it was stunning and we saw a huge lobster, many colorful parrot fish, barracuda, and even a reef shark!! We had to cut our last snorkeling excursion short because of an incoming storm. Capt. Katie did fantastic driving back through rougher seas. At one point the crew put on snorkel masks to keep the rain from hitting their eyes. They had fun with it and made the most out of a less than perfect situation. Their priority was to keep us all safe and they accomplished that wonderfully! We had a complete blast and would do it again with this crew in a heartbeat!

Clean, friendly, and a great less expensive option to staying in Key West. Rooms are simple with two queen beds, small fridge and microwave, eating nook, coffee maker with coffee and teas, and a back deck area overlooking the canal. Dive trips regularly leave from the resort. Large tiki area for drinks and fun. Tiki Bar Food Truck on location for when the stomach starts growling. Large pool with handicap lifts. Plenty of parking in front and side of tiki. Picnic tables out front of rooms to enjoy the great weather. Dive shop located in where you check in and out. That is also where they will meet you to set up your gear, fill tanks, and get you on boat for diving.
Only downfall in my room was the shower. There was just one water temp...HOT. LOL. There was really no difference with it on cold or hot or in between.
I would recommend this place for sure, and will probably be back to do some diving. Clean. Friendly, has anything you need for a great night.

We did not stay here so unable to review that. We had a group with 4 divers and 2 snorkelers. I must say this is one of the most beautiful reefs here in the Keys! I definitely would recommend diving or snorkeling it. James and Josh were our crew and they were quite helpful. I was surprised that there was no dive guide provided but, it is an easy reef to navigate and we are certified divers. I have been spoiled by other operators in the Keys who always have a guide in the water with you. The property has a large Tiki bar that appears to have entertainment so I think it would probably be a cool place to stay.

Nice place to stay and dive or snorkel! Hotel room was about what you expect although the ac was a bit loud but it's nice to have it all the same. We did a snorkelling trip as well which was a blast! Captain and crew were quite knowledgeable of the area and took us out to some neat spots! Saw a Goliath grouper, some sharks, and barracuda! One group even spotted a manta.
