I went to this place looking for a gas water heater controller that went out on my water heater. I took the part with me. The lady behind the counter was extremely rude and unhelpful. She told me water heater parts are only available for 5yrs for specific model and year. She scoffed when I asked for a suitable replacement part and offered to sell me a water heater for 800-3000 I found my replacement part online as a regular current part for multiple manufacturers for 150.00.
I would recommend you travel far beyond chester if you are looking for a quality repair facility.
I would NEVER contract this business for any reason whatsoever.

What a great company. I could not be happier. Not only did they come all the way from Chester to help us, they came quickly and helped fixed our broken pipes at the mobile home park we manage. I was very impressed with how knowledgeable they are. Not only that, it was refreshing to talk with the plumber and learn some things for the future. Would recommend them to anyone else.

I agree with Paul Phipps! This company does NOT care about vacation home owners, is unprofessional, over priced, and doesn't back their products. Do NOT use this company as there are plenty of other companies that value their customers.

Response to Reply: My reasoning behind my poor review was just confirmed by your response as Slusher Plumbing doesn't take any responsibility for their own actions as several other reviews confirm this. For some reason Slusher feels it's always the customers fault which shows you what kind of company you really are. I also am not angry at all - I am disappointed with Slusher for their unprofessionalism and over priced services which is why I will not use you again and will tell everyone I know my experience with Slusher and hope they use someone else. We also just received a call from you stating our bill with you is overdue and will start collecting late fees - this was for a service on 5/3/22 and we NEVER received the bill!!! Threatening with late fees on a bill that was never received - proof once again to NOT use Slusher!!!

BEWARE-This business does not care about you if you are not a full time resident of the community, (vacation home owner) and they told us so to our face. I made an appointment for several problems to be solved three weeks in advance. They called the day before the appointment to cancel, and was only offered another appointment a week away. When we expressed our concern as we can not use our stove due to a gas leak, we where only yelled at by the office staff and treated like third class residents. No consideration was given for the fact we had traveled four hours away to be present for the appointment, nor that we had guests coming to visit for the weekend. You would think that a community and the business' that had just suffered a major fire, and that relies on the revenues that the vacation trade brings in, would not treat customers this way.

In short, while their ads show they have four of five vans, and seem to be a large company, they are not. They are extremely understaffed, and cannot provide any better service that a single plumber business. Extremely unreliable, and unprofessional.

I had Slusher plumbing replace old shower and tub valves which I supplied ( a good new set ) . The installation went OK , he had to cut back of wall out to get to valves which is normal . I had to fix wall which was ok . I was charged 544.82 bucks . I took shower that evening and valves were leaking as bad as old one , line wasn't flushed good . Called about it and they sent the installer back the next day , another charge of 120 bucks , flushed pipes and valves out like he should have done in first place , work great after that. Very upset , lost my business

This is a family run, conscientiously managed business. The know their stuff, and are absolutely set on doing their job correctly. They fixed problems for us that we have been plagued by for 5 years, and which had been mucked up by other local companies who insisted they were 'experts'. Examined everything thoroughly, diagnosed exactly what was needed, and executed all the repairs with professionalism and care. If you need plumbing, heating, or electrical work in Plumas or Lassen Counties, Slusher Plumbing is the place for you. NOT your average company, Slusher is outstanding in every way.

We contracted with Slusher to rebuild our 17 year old Generac generator and make the proper dis-connects from the generator to the PG&E line, which was in place when we purchased our home. We had no issues with the system as it ran, but were coming up on it's 1/2 life. Slusher did a full re-build of our generator, pulled the permit to have the power connected properly and coordinated with PG&E for that portion of the work. Our expectation of this work was to keep it running another 17 years. After a winter like we just came through, I was thankful we took the plunge and had the work done. I was also thankful that we had no incidents during this record setting winter. There were many power outages, downed trees, flooding, road issues and landslides . While we might have been isolated due to some of those issues, our generator kicked on everytime the power went out and ran our house with issue. The initial risk was, if we had an issue or a breakdown, PGE would prioritize our issue over all others. Glad we didn't have to find out. We reduced the risk by doing a re-build prior to an actual breakdown. Thank you Slusher Plumbing for doing a complete and thorough job on this older model generator and being an authorized Generac Dealer in Plumas County.

A brave man named Steve works for this place. A true professional. A knight in shining armor.

We just bought this house and not three months in. Everything went to hell. We live high up in the mountains. Surrounded by forest. The worst winter we have ever experienced. He knew we were in trouble. And none would help due to rhe harsh weather. For over a week, our toilets and showers were filling with sewage.

He could have waited till everything was processed, snow to melt, and had equipment to deal with such a root intrusion in the septic tank. He could have waited and charged us thousands.
But no...

He took off his shirt. Slapped on a mask and gloves. And said, "hold my legs. I'm going in."
And so he did.

The tropical plumber from Hawaii. Covered in freezing snow, slush and who knows what else.
He tugged and pulled with great force. God know I almost lost him to the dark abyss. But he did it. He wrestled out a root thicker than my arm.
He saved us.

A real man. A real professional. And not someone after your wallet.
