This is the best place we have stayed at. The view from the top unit is wonderful. Saw dolphins, egrets, blue heron and more right on or near our dock.
Rex was extremely easy and responsive to any requests. The bed was so comfortable we are going to see about changing ours. Good shower pressure. Stove is induction so a bit of a learning curve. We did not use the dishwasher. We would come back in a heartbeat but rates here and on AMI going up at a ridiculous rate. You will not be disappointed. Beach is literally 150 steps. Great beach to walk on. Never grew tired of the view from the balcony.
Thanks Rex. Stayed for 10 weeks. Had great neighbours downstairs too.

I loved staying here. The deck on the upper level is a great place to start and end the day, listening to the water and the birds, looking out over Sarasota bay. Sleeps 6 with comfort and privacy. I love the vintage style and old school Florida vibe of the place. Hoping to stay here again!

We stayed here with our family over the weekend the house smelled like mold and was dirty when we arrived (sand in the sheets, dirty kitchen floors) but we made the best of it swept the floors and washed the bedding.

We settled in and prepared to enjoy our weekend.

Some local family stopped by to visit one evening and that's when the host Rex threw a temper tantrum, blowing up my phone with nasty voicemails about calling the police and threatening to evict us.

He seems like a real unhappy person and we tried not to let his negativity ruin our vacation, the location is good but after getting treated like prisoners, we wouldn't come back here again. I would recommend trying to find other accommodations with more reasonable, hospitable hosts.

Update. Look at the response the owner gave here, does this really sound like someone you want to rent from? Check out the some of other reviews you'll see pattern.

The views are AMAZING! Easy access to the ocean, beach, shopping, and dining! Watch the sunrise from the deck! Highly recommend staying here and the owners are AMAZING!
