I'm not going to lie, it took me a few days to gather my thoughts! Hands down, an adventure of a lifetime, a life-changing experience. Our guide, wes, is extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the cave and the experience for the people who join him. Every review that has been left to date ( all of them are positive), are accurate. It's wild, life-changing, not for the faint of heart, well worth it! I will add, if you're an extremely anxious person, like myself, you will have to dig to the deepest part of your soul to manage the anxiety throughout this experience. It's all mental! But once you come out on the other end, you will probably have conquered one of the biggest mental challenges you've ever experienced. Looking back at all the photos and videos that Wes is awesome at documenting, you will be reminded of the beauty and awe you got to experience. It'll be a story and a memory that you will share with you and your loved ones that join you for your entire lifetime. Again, if you are an anxious person like me, and you're willing to challenge your mental fortitude, you won't regret it! If you're not an anxious person, there should be absolutely nothing holding you back from this experience! You must go! Thank you Wes for being so kind and one of these days, we'll have to come back for another adventure!

Done a couple of cave tours and wild caving but this was one of my favorites. The owner is very knowledgeable about everything and lets you attempt any hole to climb into. He was so helpful. Only thing I wish was I had better shoes than I had but wow what a trip.

It's hard to put into words how incredible this experience was. The location is magical and Wes was extremely knowledgeable, capable and welcoming. He felt like family right away and then welcomed us into the official "cave family" after we crossed a certain milestone in the tour.

I didn't expect to have a spiritual experience on this tour but that's really what it boils down to.
It challenged my body and mind in unexpected ways. Dont worry, you don't need to be in top physical condition to do the tour, but it does does require an adventurous spirit and certain level of curiosity. If you think you might want to find out what it's like to go, please don't hesitate. The experience is well worth the time and effort of going on this tour. Our lives are so short as human beings and this cave has been there for millennia. There is so much to ponder about our existence and I found my time in the cave stimulated deep questions and thoughts. I'll take this adventure with me for the rest of my life and I hope you choose to try it as well.

I tend to be a little skeptical when places ONLY have 5 star ratings, but WOW does this tour deserve it! The cave was a wonder to be seen on its own; and Wes made the experience even more extraordinary by sharing his knowledge, curiosity, and enthusiasm for every little thing the cave has to offer. The tour begins with bigger “rooms” and passages before introducing you to the tighter (and wetter) paths, perfectly building in excitement! In addition to stunning cave formations, underground waterfalls, natural and human history, you’ll find so much more wildlife than you’d ever expect. Wes did a wonderful job offering multiple routes through the cave with various challenge levels, meaning you have the opportunity to shape your own adventure. He provides headlamps and safety equipment, but be sure to dress appropriately as the water can get quite chilly and you WILL get wet!

I haven't been in the cave since the property was bought out and turned into an attraction.
Before this cave was brought to the publics attention due to those teens allegedly going in there drunk amd one of them falling from the ledge in the main room.
Anyways, me and my friends used to go in there every single weekend for a span of 4 or 5 years, we'd spend 6 to 10 hours straight just exploring, always finding new passage ways and obstacles.
I can confidently say that me and my buddies have spent more time in that cave than anyone else in recent years.

This was the most epic experience my 13 year old son and I had done together. I have done my own cave exploration and cave guided tours all over the states. I really wanted to do a real experience in a cave instead of handrails and lights but in a safer setting then what I did in my younger risk free days lol. Don’t get me wrong - I was blown away by the time we were on this adventure and the freedom to explore and challenge ourselves in and out of our comfort zones. Wes was super knowledgeable and could tell he was really into and passionate about the cave. My son said he wanted to see a bat and some salamanders and he sure did, even held the bat up close and personal! And thank you Wes for the knee and elbow pads, headlamps with fresh batteries, and helmets- so thankful for those)So my opinion is I would do a few things differently- I wouldn’t have taken my small pack, truck keys, or my waterproof armband with phone (if you bring your phone, make certain it is waterproof lol) But….. I did like taking photos myself, however when I got the ones from Wes there wasn’t anything I missed - he takes lots of pictures for everyone! I think it was a ton of fun and my son was able to squeeze through a place the rest of us couldn’t so I was impressed he did! Caves are cold, yes, water is cold, correct and in caves and water will make you cold, but totally worth it. The hours blurred by I couldn’t believe we were down there that long! If you are looking for a crazy long adventure you aren’t going to be disappointed. So for myself doing this hobby long before my son was born and doing over 4 other caves this past year, I had a blast and nothing I have done compared to this trip. Thank you Wes for searing a beautiful memory in our hearts. I hope my son never forgets this adventure, I know I won’t!

Adventure is an understatement - this was the absolute most exhilarating experience of ours to date! I took my wife on a cave tour as an early Valentine’s Day gift. We were the only ones present on this particular day, but there could have been a small group with us. We met Wes (owner and guide) and immediately knew we were in good hands. He is so passionate about the cave and sharing the beauty/adventure with others. We made sure to have our closed toe shoes with us along with a full change of clothes (we stupidly forgot to bring another pair of shoes to drive home in - don’t be like us). We brought a small backpack, but didn’t need it - Wes put our cell phone in his dry pack for us so we could take our own photos (but note that Wes takes several excellent photos throughout so it’s not entirely necessary). We weren’t sure if they would be necessary, but they definitely were - prepare to get soaked and dirty! Upon entering the cave, it felt like a natural museum - so much to look at and explore (bats included, this time of year). As we proceeded, more adventure was required of us. We quickly realized being a bit overweight and out of shape would be working against us, but wouldn’t preclude us from having a good time. Wes was great at helping us work through our fears and provide answers to our hundreds of questions. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an adventure.

My girlfriend and I went on the wild cave tour with Wes and it was definitely a once in a lifetime experience. Wes is an expert caver; he is passionate and extremely knowledgeable about the cave's passageways, geology, and history. In this cave are beautiful rock formations, well-preserved relics of the past, elaborate fossil formations, and crystal clear waters. This tour isn't for the faint of heart, but be ready for an adventure that will give you a sense of rebirth into a confidence that you can accomplish anything- I felt like this while navigating the narrow passages, tunnels, and crawls of this cave. Overall I highly enjoyed this tour and strongly recommend it to anyone staying or living in the northern Alabama area that is up for a challenge and a completely unmatched experience.
