Best flight of our lives. We've been to Franz Josef and Norway and they are beautiful but this was another level. Go for the ones with glacier landing - well worth the extra. Our 10am flight was perfectly timed - it allowed us to be the first to land and watch others land. Our wonderful pilot Tom expertly navigated the terrain and was very helpful with photos. He ensured our safety particularly the kids. Sheldon Air Service was really professional, prompt in updates and answering questions to ensure that we'd have the best experience. And so we did.

Thank you for the AMAZING experience of flying around Denali and landing on the glacier.
Tony was so knowledgeable about the area and a lot of fun and a great pilot. Seriously the best highlight of our trip. Very happy with the price as well.
Max Flight who runs the “Airplane Geeks” podcast asked me for a report on the Valdez fly in and I had to include our flight to Denali as well. The full effect of our experience was felt for days afterward. Seriously the highlight of our visit to Alaska. Brian and Cora.

Udo is not only the smoothest pilot I’ve flown into the mountains with, but he is also an outstanding human being. This is a family owned and operated business with a long history and solid reputation. We were well taken care off and felt very safe flying with Udo and his team. Highly recommended Sheldon Air to anyone wanting to fly the Alaska Range. Fenomenal air service!

It was a super cloudy day so our options were really limited, but they did their best to get us up in the air and show us some of the backcountry.
Our pilot, David, did an excellent job of locating wildlife and circling back to give us a good view. He knows the area really well . No pilot in talkeetna has been flying longer than he has and his experience really showed on our trip.
We may book a second trip with them if the clouds depart, we liked them that much!

Everyone at SAS was friendly and accommodating, a great team to work with.

The planes are maintained with safety in mind, and Udo flies with an obvious intention of keeping you safe and as comfortable as possible while providing passengers on both sides of the aircraft spectacular views of a finicky mountain.

I look forward to another flight around Denali someday, and I won’t fly with anyone else.

We arrived in Talkeetna mid-afternoon at the hotel and had some cloud views of Denali. Our tour dropped us off, and Sally and I took a chance on a small flight over the ranges to just see what they looked like.

After a bit of a delay, as they got the plane ready, our big question of take-off was, 'Is that Denali?' The whole range was in view and crystal clear. Just a small bit of dressing cloud.

We hit the 30% of people who actually get to see Denali and we were in the plane going to see it up close. Our pilot was amazing as he thought we wanted to see base camp. Our response was no, just show us pretty stuff.

And wow, he did. Did a whole different route so we could see amazing views.

I worked out, and it was a good day when the pilot was taking photos of how good the views were.

The most stunning and amazing flight I have ever had and will take me weeks to decompress and go back over the videos and photos we both took.

The Sheldon team are a small operation, but been there a long time, so I know what is good.

Could not recommend them more. Just amazing.

10 stars!! We had a very short window in Talkeetna, primarily for our flight seeing tour. The day it was scheduled, it ended up being forecasted for 100% chance of rain. Sheldon Air Service worked diligently with us the day before, day of, and day after to get us up in the air while we were there to see Mt Denali. Sheldon Air Service is the definition of Customer Service and Personalized Service. We were still able to do the glacier landing (absolutely spend the extra $ for this experience!), but weren't able to go all the way around the mountain due to the weather. They did a partial refund. We plan on going back one day and will only use Sheldon Air Service.
