Turned out to be a beautiful day. They canceled the cruise right after ours due to storms coming. The captain was experienced. The guides, while young were knowledgeable and personable. Would highly recommend this activity. The sunset cruise would probably be really cool. We did the 11:00-2:00 cruise and they work hard to stay on time.

So disappointed in the Sheffield Island Ferry. Had tickets for excursion on 6/4 at 3:00pm. At 12:30pm, we get an email (call or text would have been more appropriate) that due to wind, trip was being cancelled. We were at the gate at 2:30, and there was a breeze, but no "white capping" by any means. I have a sneaky suspicion that due to only 3 ticketholders booked, they decided it wasn't worth their time☹️

Leaving from New York. Emailed us the morning of trip with a refund. No call, just an email. They said cancelled for weather. It was raining, but seriously, we could have made it.

We took the 3pm Sheffield Island tour. The crew was very nice, helpful and informative. The island was beautiful and we just had a very relaxing hour and a half to just hang out and look around.

The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because they only give you an hour and half to tour the Island/light house and then you MUST head back. Even though you want to stay longer, you can't. They do head count on the ferry from there and going back. The ferry round trip cost of $29 per person. Overall, the Island/light house itself was beautiful and enjoyed so much sitting next to the water and by the rocks. Took tons of pictures as well. Staff were so friendly, helpful, nice and very knowledgeable. I only wish if we could stay there longer. Hour and half was too short period of time.
