Well I propose to the wife there 10 years ago got married in Mount Cornell Illinois. Worked at the Duke power plant about 6 months before that April 7th 2015.

The owners are very nice and ensure you are satisfied with the room … which we were.|We enjoy the small, classic motor court motels and support family run business when we can. |Shamrock Motel is quaint, convenient and clean.|Do not be too quick to criticize … motor court motels are nostalgic (think Route 66) and fading away. (San-Ran in Robbinsville, NC is a favorite of ours, too.)|Sometimes a large hotel chain with more amenities is called for. After a long day driving across 3 states, Shamrock Motel was just what we needed … clean and comfortable.

Due to the fact that the owner rents the rooms to crackheads all the time he’ll charge the locks if you leave to go get food or anywhere don’t leave the property or you’ll have to go talk to him about it.tell you one price over the phone and then when you get there, he’ll charge you another price They have bedbugs no heat in the rooms It takes 15 minutes for the water to heat up to be able to take a shower. And you can hear the crackheads in the room next-door to you complaining about getting ripped off by their dealer not a good place to take children not a good place to be. Spend the extra money and go to a better hotel. Have a better experience somewhere else because this place really sucks.

Spur of the moment evening, we just wanted a decent evening..OUR ROOM HAD ZERO HEAT THEY DID NOTHING BOUT IT. The room was absolutely disgusting!!! Poop smeared all over the place in the bathroom. U can see clear as day urine on the walls, the toilet was absolutely disgusting. I'm a housekeeper i know what the expectations are. These people should be ashamed. Not to mention they was rude and hateful as hell. Won't ever waste 70$ again.

Nope not at all! NEED A NEW HOUSEKEEPER!!!!!
My son stayed here for over a month and not once did he's room get clean. When he first moved in I cleaned huge cob webs out of the corners. Sheets didn't get changed one time. I end up getting my vacuum out of storage so he could vacuum. The satellite for the tv sucks!

I was told that I have a two beds room cause that's all they have but I cannot sleep on other bed . I have to buy my own toilet paper , cannot have any company at all, clean my own room take out my own trash and if I don't have towels wash rags up there by 11 I don't get any new ones went at 1117 and refuse to give me new ones and can't have a room key cause no 5 dollar deposit so my room is for two weeks and and I had help cause I was homeless at time and they should not be allowed to do this to people and a month ago was taking shower had bathroom window opened and got out and the owner is in the window tell me to not open windows anymore if u rent a room don't u think u should be able to do anything you rented the room and to make me feel lower then anyone cause Im homeless sad very sad disrespectful rude and invasion of privacy .

Customer service is a big deal to me. These folks get it. They are polite and respectful.

If you can look past the age of the property, you will see that they doing the best that anyone can do plus some to make this hideaway rustic and cozy.

They actually come out every night to turn on each porch light individually. That's dedication.

Location only gets a low rating based on the fact that the town is a dead zone for cellphone signal. Couldn't even roam.

This is almost impossible to live w/out in today's world.

Not sure what WiFi configuration they have but just two relay routers spaced evenly under the porch awning would solve the problem of not being able to get wifi in the rooms.

Hopefully it's not lead paint interference...yikes.
