Just picture yourself in a densely packed room full of kids on lots of psychedelic and stimulant drugs that haven't clean themselves in days camping at a music festival. Now imagine that same space in that same scenario with 80% humidity generated from breath and armpits. Welcome to High Sierra Music Festival late night. For the extra ticket price cost you would think they would put some exhaust fans in this thing. Festival ticket 300 bucks one late night show Extra 27.

This is a big building within the Plumas County Fairgrounds.
When we were there for the fair, it was used for the commercial, vendors, and large sized games.
But it can be rented out for parties, celebrations, and concerts!
Nice size building!

High sierra music festival.

Fourth of July festival of music, warm weather, dancing, hooping, camping and stranger meeting. Everyone is very relaxed and open to meet others, make friends, and play together. Incredible spirit and such positive energy. Great place for families, so many kids running around. Lots of fields to yoga, hoop, sleep, read, and dance in.

We brought a bunch of our own food to eat all weekend but also treated ourself to some delicious healthy options they provided. The iced coffee was great, but it WAS five dollars each (yikes). You could definitely bring your own iced coffee to keep in a cooler.

We stayed on Hillside, which was super cool and shaded. We could hear the main stage from home (treat!) and had fun neighbors. If it's just you, a hammock is a great idea for the hillside, we did have issues due to the slanted sleeping conditions.

Rideshares are available and also a great way to meet people headed out there. The drive from SF was long but not much traffic, there are great backroads you can take for the view.

Loved this festival, I would highly recommend it for families, friends, solo adventurers, musicians, artists, yogis, and open minded everyones!

Air Conditioning and an escape from direct sun. An amazing place to catch a concert like Tom Pettys Guitarmaggedon, was so fun to escape to. Or the Workingmans Dead played in a bluegrass style by the Grateful Bluegrass Boys... Just a lovely break from the heat at HSMF!

Simply a magnificent place to sneak away to for Music, and chilling out. A must stop if you find yourself overheating during a festival at the fair grounds!
