Troy was a 10/10 guide. I would recommend him to anyone thats a first time fisherman to an experienced professional. He was respectful, patient, and very knowledgeable. We booked two full days with him and were not disappointed in the slightest. We were planning our next trip with him before this one was even over. Will absolutely use him again.

If you want to experience the fishing trip of a lifetime, then I highly recommend White River Trout fishing guide. Troy puts you on world class brown trout and in vast numbers too. If you don’t like chasing big browns, then he also can put you on giant rainbows. Catch them nearly every cast, it’s truly unbelievable how in tune Troy is with the White River. The best guide I have ever had hands down and a great person to boot. I now have a new lifetime friend as well. My son would agree also. He had a trip of a lifetime with Troy on the White River. Don’t waste time book your trip with Troy, you won’t regret it.

My first trip to the White River. I’m 66 and I want to get back into trout fishing after almost 50 years away from it.

I booked a cabin at Cedarwood Lodge and bought a pair of waders & boots. Got here to find the White at flood stage. So much for bank fishing.

My host Mary Anne at Cedarwood suggested a guide which turned out to be Troy. Boy, did I luck out as Troy had Sunday morning open.

I met him at a boat launch 2 minutes from our cabin and the first thing we did was rescue a boat that had lost its motor. That told me a lot about Troy.

After the rescue we fished hard. Troy wanted me to catch trout in the best way. It was cold and windy and Troy did his best to keep us out of the wind.

My 4 hours flew by as he relayed local lore and history of the River, including every eagles nest he knew of. It was fascinating.

Troy is a down to earth good guy. Nothing phony about him - he knows when to talk and what to say.

But the bottom line is that he takes great care to make sure your fishing trip is fun and carefree. I caught a good dozen Rainbows and kept my limit of 5. Troy filleted all for me at the boat launch and even produced a zip lock bag for me to transport my bounty back to the cabin.

Friends, I cannot recommend Troy Schultz highly enough.

He is always two steps ahead of your needs. Book him asap. You will not be sorry. It’s the best thing I did on our trip from Wisconsin. Memories that will last forever. Priceless

This was one of the funnest fishing trips I ever been on. Troy was an absolute master at turning us on to Trophy Browns. He definitely knows where these lunkers are.
If your seriously looking for a trout fishing guide on the White River around Cotter or Flippin then Troy is gonna be the guy you want in the boat with you.
