Beautiful property and so peaceful! The river access is great. Lots of deer, turkeys, and trails to explore. Two issues tho. First, the inside of the house is full of millipedes and wasps are everywhere on the outside. I know this is the country but a little work to close up some holes and spray some pesticide would make this problem go away. Also, my entire family started coming down with a stomach bug about 24-48 hours into our stay. Reading the VRBO reviews the previous guests seemed to come down with the same bug. This leads me to believe the house was not sanitized well enough in between guests. Our family had been looking forward to this vacation for months and then to spend the entire time sick was incredibly disappointing. Hopefully, they can resolve this sickness issue because the property is really amazing.

Beautiful country with Rocky Bayou and White River boundaries! Amazing activities for young and old alike. Doc and Josh tended graciously Tom our every need. We hiked, rode in the golf cart, fished, played corn hole and horseshoes at the fire pit by the river. Indoor video games, internet, an arcade game board games etc. in the house. Could not ask for a better experience!! Thanks so much

If you want to go to a place of peace, relaxation with an option to have a bit of adventure, I highly recommend staying here! I have stayed multiple times (small and large groups) and always enjoy the ability to fish off the river and bayou, see eagles' nesting in the trees, cook out by an amazing fire pit and outdoor covered area while pitching horseshoes and cornhole...life is great! Tack on the multiple trails to hike and drive around on with awesome scenic views caps it all off. Tons of wildlife (deer and turkey). The housing is top notch with some luxury comforts that most places do not have. Clean, modern spaces to stay in with the comforts of home. I have stayed in the house and in the new addition of the Airstream & attached living space that is great sipping on a drink and looking at the clear sky at night. Highly recommend for small to large groups. You are missing out if you don't give this place a try!

Warning! Savoy Island Ranch . After one day the entire family became deathly ill requiring 2 children to be hospitalized! One needing transfer via ambulance to a more acute hospital hours away! EVERYONE who was there got very very sick and in reading past reviews we are not the first family to do so. The owner appeared concerned while we were there even offering a full refund. No one stayed the whole time. We fled not knowing what was affecting everyone in the house. Once we got home the owner recanted his refund offer saying he would refund a portion IF I left a good review! I refused and in turn he is no longer answering messages. What an upstanding citizen. Who happens to be affiliated with a ministry BTW. SMH. We are out THOUSANDS of dollars for the stay, food, transport, hospital bills, etc. Anyone with a heart would have an ounce of mercy for what we suffered which had to have come from that house. There is no other explanation.

Please beware and read the other reviews too before booking this place. At LEAST 3 families suffered the same sickness. Please be warned!
P.S He has the gift of gab and obviously dont honor his word. I'm sure he will have a "valid" comeback reason for the dishonesty. ?
If I could keep one family from the horrible sickness we experienced then I succeeded.
