My family and I are seasoned whale watchers but until yesterday had never been on a seal watch before, and now we can't understand how we failed to book one sooner! The crew of Save The Bay were friendly, funny, and informative - the tour itself was beautiful (if cold! dress warmly!) and the seals were the stars of the day. The tour offers binoculars to every guest which is such a great touch, but with how close the animals ventured, they weren't needed. Highly recommend.

We were there in late October and seeing the beauty of the leaves changing mixed with the deep blue tones of the bay and ocean made it extra awesome!! Yes we saw seals and I counted 16 species of birds. The naturalist guide explained many interesting facts about nature and the local area.

I'll start right at the beginning. The directions you're given to find the location could be a little more direct and specific, but the people who run the tour must be well versed in recognizing confused people because they actually found us lol. Try to get there early so you can get a seat under the canopy. It'll help with the weather and the educational presentation. Speaking of the weather, dress appropriately. You stay within the harbor, but it still gets very cold and windy, and that's a fantastic way to ruin your day. Unfortunately, Save the Bay doesn't own the seals and can't force them to appear. I didn't see a single one, but the money goes to a good cause, so you can't really complain. Overall, it's a good cause, educational, and something a little different. Give it a try!
