I have had better gondola rides. This costed 35$ per person. The access to bridge and the gondola ride together. We ended up taking the ride from other side of the bridge. And that was a bad idea, coz it was a rather hard hike up to this place. And we seemed to be going around in circles to get to the base. The easier would have been taking Gondola right from the entrance and walking back or taking the gondola back.

The visit to the gorge was a very disappointing experience. Entry was $37 per person to do nothing more than walk across a large foot bridge. Frankly, the Hoover dam is more interesting than the Royal Gorge and costs nothing to walk across. The Royal Gorge is beautiful but not worth the cost of entry. It MIGHT have been justified if the gondolas were running but they were not. As soon as we got to the entrance to board them the workers said they were "closing for weather." There was only a light breeze. They didn't even open back up after the breeze died down. Given the gorge is at the top of mountains which is an inherently windy location; are the gondolas EVER open? My advice - save your money. Don't waste it on this.
