The view is beautiful, suitable for the whole family or couples. It takes about 10 minutes on foot to get to the parking lot, which is very convenient. You can also take your bike with you, which makes it easier to ride around the park. Walking can be tiring

I thoroughly enjoyed my Sunday afternoon fall hike. The waterfall was so pretty. I enjoyed that the trail was really clearly marked, wide, and very easy to follow. I went 2 1/2 miles out towards the waterfall and came back. I’d like to see the whole loop sometime. I saw lots of cyclists, families, and leashed dogs.

The woods are in general phenomenal. Really well maintained, paved and great for bikes and walks/hikes.
The waterfall is small enough for the family. Seen dogs and toddlers enjoying the water. Upper level can get up to waist height.

Highly recommend water shoes, crocs will do. The creek floor is rocks and larger slabs and can become very slippery if moving too quickly, so take your time.

Google has a photo location for the waterfall, follow that. Roads take you there, very easy and big parking lot. Ten minute or so walk to water.

One of my favorite places to hike with the family. Beautiful views, small waterfall, creeks, birds, and other small creatures and wildlife that is fun to discover with the family. Will continue to explore the trails in the years to come!

Peaceful Sunset by the water, glen and falls. The entire forest reserve has 10 miles of trail but you can opt for a shorter hike to the falls if you park by the entrance from Bluff Rd, not the parking lot on Rt. 83. The trail is wide, saw some visitors with kiddie strollers. There is an off trail track that is close to the water.

Nice easy trail to walk. More adventurous options if you want to climb down to the stream and walk. I've been in the summer and fall and both were beautiful. In the summer you can get in the water. Today I saw beautiful fall colors.

I saw some reviews mention no parking or bathrooms. They must have done some improvements recently because there is plenty of parking and a bathroom.

I have seen this waterfall many times running by. I occasionally stop and just look at it. It is so cool that there is something like this close to me in Illinois. Usually everything is so flat and boring, so it is cool that there is something like this. If you go I would recommend also walking along the 9 mile loop and enjoying the nature.

Easy walk from the parking lot - just under a half-mile. Can see from several angles, both above and across - with small trails from each. There’s even an overlook from the main trail.
