Stopped for pie , ended up eating lunch and pie. Great customer service, food cooked perfectly. The fried pickles were amazing. They are known for their smoked meats. And I agree with that statement. This is a must stop if you’re heading to Grand Canyon or Sedona. The pie is delicious and a great variety. We couldn’t decide so we got several options to share and taste. There is little farmers market and gift type stuff available.

If you're traveling up or down the I-17 you've most likely seen signs for Rock Springs Cafe. Is it actually worth stopping? Yes, here's why. It's got everything! Check out the country store for any canned good you can imagine along with local honey. There's also a new gem shop with a beautiful selection of crystals. Hit up the pie box if you're just looking for a take away slice of pie, ginormous cinnamon roll, or addictive monkey bread. Pro tip - heat it up in the microwave for 15ish seconds before you eat it.

Getting down to the actual Cafe, we had about a 30 minute wait at 2ish on a Friday. No biggie, because there's plenty of shopping to do while you wait for the text that your table is ready. The daily special, a fish fry, was surprisingly delicious. The fish was flaky and the breading was light and not oily at all. The pulled pork barbecue sandwich which was also really flavorful. Everyone is very friendly - this is a must stop!

This place is more of a historical institution than a restaurant or cafe. More than a century old, the place manages to retain much of its old charm, and can be quite busy at times. We had a 15-20 min wait, but spent that time happily wandering around, looking at the mounted heads, pickled eggs and the like.

My wife and I tried two entrees, and both were average. The French fries that came along with the fish were fresh and just the right crisp, but the fish itself was a bit tired, and the chicken, limp. We also tried the much vaunted pies and found them to be much better. They were fresh, and just the right shade of tart/sweet. If you are one of those who like their pies sweet, you will find them a bit disappointing. I would suggest skipping the main course and just order as many different types of pies as you can eat.

Service was efficient and friendly, though it looked like the place was a bit short staffed.

These are some good pies. We got a slice of cherry, blueberry, strawberry rhubarb, bourbon pecan, chocolate cream and coconut cream. The cherry was our favorite followed by the pecan, the strawberry, and then the creams, lastly the blueberry. The blueberry was basic and tasted just like canned blueberries. The creams were typical creams, nothing special. The strawberry had the least tart taste that I have had. The pecan was a gooie mess, but not too sweet. The cherry was basically just a near perfect cherry pie.

Stopped at Rock Springs Café on the way back from a much-needed Sedona getaway, because nothing screams emotional reset like fresh air, red rocks, and baked goods that could spiritually heal you.

Let me tell you—this is not just a pie stop. This is a religious experience. I walked in thinking I’d be cute and responsible with a single slice. Five minutes later, I was strutting out like a 1950s housewife with two whole pies in my arms and a glint of sugar-fueled mania in my eyes.

The crust? Buttery and flaky enough to make you question every relationship that’s ever let you down. The filling? So rich, it should come with a prenup. I didn’t just eat dessert, I found closure, purpose, and a new reason to take road trips north of Phoenix.

The staff didn’t blink when I said, “Just one slice,” and then whispered, “…plus two whole pies to-go.” That’s the kind of nonjudgmental support I need in my life.

10/10 will be back again. Honestly, might move in. Do they have rooms? Or a pie loyalty program? Asking for a friend (me).

We originally came for the pie and yes, it was absolutely fantastic but what truly made our visit memorable was our waitress. She was incredibly sweet, caring, and made us feel so welcome. Honestly, I’d come back just for her kindness and the warm experience she created. It’s not every day you get service that leaves that kind of impression!

Been coming here since 17 years old coming back from deer hunting. This place has the best pie in Arizona hands down. I really love the peach crumble, pecan pie, cherry pie all the creme pies are so amazing.

They serve breakfast too. The BBQ sandwich is pretty tasty, once your finished with food check out their store they sell pickles, apple butter fudge etc.

This place was recommended by a local so we took a chance. Seemed charming from the outside so we stayed even after told we would have a 45 minute wait. There was plenty to look at while we waited but it did get old. We ended up waiting over an hour. The service was good and I would have given 5 stars but the waitress circled the tip totals when we were given our bill almost like she was worried we weren't going to tip her? This seemed a little insulting OR she just knew how bad the food was. We ordered potato skins and they were crispy burned. We ordered BBQ plates and it seemed like the pork was something that was premade and heated up in the microwave, the "coleslaw" was a bagged kale salad from the grocery store, and the pies that they are famous for were dull and tasteless. Pretty disappointing experience and I definitely would not go back.
